Eastenders Summer Trailer
Bonnie Langfords character looks interesting. But oh my the Stacey/Kush/Martin stuff looks tedious. I am fed up of these love chains Ineta was married to Aleks who was dating Roxy who shagged Charlie who is married to Ronnie who is flirting with Vincent who is married to Kim Then we have Tina is dating Sonia who is married to Martin who fancies Stacey who fancies Kush who gets engaged to Shabnam who next week is set up with a guy by her auntie They are pointless and add nothing to the show, can they not be more original? And where is Phil? Where is Ian? Where are Sharon, Jane and Denise?

Agreed. Never thought I'd say I want to see more of Phil but I do; and Sharon - but that's normal to like her.
I actually think Stacey and Kush go well together but not as a "having an affair" storyline.
Why does everyone need to shag around behind people's backs?!

Although I do hate the thought of another Charlie and Roxy situation being replicated in Stacey and Kush, I do think they would work a lot better together than Shabnam and Kush/Stacey and Martin.
However the producers really decide on what couples they actually want to be together and put an end to this constant bed hopping.

Until you mentioned it I hadn't realised the paralells in the storylines. The part I wasn't happy about was the fact it seems ok in Islam for Shabnam to date Khush and see other men behind his back!

I think it'll work better because it seems more natural rather than the forced and unbelievable Charlie / Roxy pairing. EE like many soaps is too concerned with following a story line rather than following the characters and it is often demonstrated in some of the implausible pairings and affairs we've had.

After re watching it I have just seen that Bushra is actually standing behind Bonnie Langford in the vic. Will be nice to see Bushra again. It does make me wonder though why they bothered bringing in Fatima, her role in Shabnams storyline could equally have been given to Bushra.

Ahh I loved it when Zainab would snipe about Bushra. In fact I just love Zainab.
You've finished being a neurosurgeon now - come back to EE!!!

I absolutely loathe Stacey with a passion. Another who thinks the world owes her a living. On her sanctimonious, moral, high horse one minute, then wrecking families the next. Yet another bike and unfit mother. She should still be in prison for cold blooded murder.

They should have made her serve her time in prison rather than living it up in Mexico and shagging McBusted.

I thought the storyline of her deciding to go to prison then deciding to get out of prison what seemed five minutes later by revealing her bipolar to the courts was silly and far fetched, but I do still like her I'm afraid!
