Not the entire film, but one of my favourite ever scenes is Dennis Hopper playing Mad Frank in Blue Velvet when he visits Isabella Rosselini and Kyle McLachlan is hiding in the closet. A seriously scary scene.
"Don't you ******* look at me. Where's my Bourbon ?" Brilliant stuff.

Was channel hopping and have found Hard Candy on the horror (well, +1) channel right now. Now that's a really good film, pretty twisted, but still a good watch.

Watched The Imitation Game' tonight about Alan Turing, the Enigma codebreaker. Only put it on because it's my mum's birthday and the DVD was included in her presents but ended up loving it. Me and MrLJnr were so riveted we even put our laptops and mobiles down - and it takes something seriously good for that to happen! Benedict Cumberbatch was superb, forgot all about Sherlock Holmes after the first couple of minutes.

I`ve heard so many good things about it.

I`m not a fan of special effect type films, but this looks brilliant. Tomorrowland comes out May 22nd in the USA.

I watched Sharknado 2 the other day, wasn't a patch on the first one. Best bit was the Will Wheaton cameo. The third one is coming out in the summer with David Hasselhoff appearing so I shall have to watch that!

The Human Centipede II (Full Sequence). Then again I watch it everyday, and still climax every time I see it. Never gets old.

There was also a well-done two part tv series about Alan Turing starring Derek Jacobi. The ending was heartbreaking.

I loved the Imitation Game too. And yes Benedict was superb.

The tv movie (and I may have said mini-series before....my mistake) about Alan Turing was 'Breaking The Code'. It was on Masterpiece Theatre in the 90's. Based on a play done on Broadway and the West End. I checked Netflix, but it's not available. Also checked Acorn TV......although I'm not sure if you subscribe to them. They don't have it either. I'm so sorry, Wendy. Perhaps it will turn up. Seems like sooner or later everything is re-broadcast. Here's the info. www.imdb.com/title/tt0115749/?ref_=nm_flmg_act_89

Thanks so much donna1 I`ll look at other places. Yayyyy just checked...and its available at another place Donna. Thanks so much for suggesting it. I`ll watch it after dinner after this evenings episode of 'A Place Called Home". Now that 'Downton Abbey' has finished, I was looking for something to take its place til Christmas Day

The performances make up for it. Derek Jacobi is good and so is Amanda Root (who was Damian Lewis' sister in The Forsyte Saga remake).

Thanks for the recommendation Donna. Derek Jacobi was superb wasn`t he. I also watched a 2 part documentary about Joan Clarke, Alans 'love interest' in the movie. I`m halfway through watching it, and so far there isn`t much about Joan - more about Alan.

Forgive the delay in responding, Wendy. What with life and the holidays, it has been really busy. So glad you enjoyed Breaking The Code. Yes, Derek Jacobi was superb. That ending .......with the apple and traces of arsenic (or whatever poison it was) and song Some Day My Prince Will Come as the closing music ......so sad and haunting.
