I will miss Stan when he finally kicks the bucket, he reminds me of a male Lou Beale. Love his one liners, Timothy West has excellent delivery. The show needed someone of Tims experience and talent I just feel they could have done more with him.

Hi Kerplunker. Fancy seeing you here!
Yes I like Stan's one-liners and the fact he is a rude miserable git but people still like him anyway!

Hi AJ!
Old people always get away with saying things that they shouldn't!

Timothy West has been fabulous in the Stan role. Apart from the unnecessary right to die 'twist', he's been a joy to watch throughout. I've switched so often between loving/hating him, I'll definitely miss him when he's gone.

Funny to think Tim had a guest role in Corrie which didn't have any impact, he has been an asset to Eastenders in my opinion.

The difference (imo) is that EE had actually spent time planning out the Stan role so when TW was cast he actually had a story to work with. On the other hand, it came across that Corrie just seemed to go for getting a big name rather than thinking about providing decent material for said big name. They've done that a few times recently; Sue Johnston and Jimi Mistry are a case in point. Despite how brief TW's role in Corrie was ever going to be, there could've/should've been a lot more effort put in by TPTB.

I knew I'd be a puddle on the floor watching this tonight and I was right which is why I left it until last (got to find something to put on to cheer me up now!) I swear (OK, I probably imagined it lol) that I saw the light go out of Stan's eyes, just like Shirley I knew the exact moment he died.
What a tour-de-force performance from Linda Henry and Timothy West. Bravo. Thank you for playing Stan so brilliantly Mr West, I thought I was going to hate him but ending up loving the old bugger.
(I know that there'll be arguments out there about Stan's death being all about Shirley, and they're right, but I'm leaving them for another day and just wallowing in some fantastic performances.)

Couldn't stand him, Probably be in the minority but he irritated me and I saw no point in him, he just demanded of his family and moan pretty much he whole time on the square, I thought there be more to his character as fab as Timothy West is as a actor, glad to see Stan gone.
