Same here. I've never been a fan of his and thought I'd hate him in EE but I'm enjoying his character. Quite liking him with Donna too which I also couldn't see. The one I'm loving most of all though is baby Pearl, she's an absolute darling and I want her! Isn't she adorable? I turn to mush every time I see her! Did you notice the Kim and Pearl matching clothes in the pub scene? Hilarious and VERY Kim smiley-biglaugh

I'm confused too about whether or not the R&R still exists unless I've missed something? Me too. Also where are the boxing gym and the laundrette?! Have *gasps* people on Albert Square started buying washing machines??!? Surely not!

Re Vincent. Quite enjoying him. Didn't know much about Richard Blackwood, can't remember seeing him in anything before so my opinion on him in EE isn't based on prior knowledge and I think he's absolutely fine in the role and I'm rather enjoying his scenes - or at least his scenes away from frozen-face Ronnie (or Roswell Ronnie as someone on WW calls her, lol!) All that 'Blue Eyes' crap was totally cringeworthy, I'm sure my toes are still clenched at the sheer naffness of it but that aside, the boy's doing good. Much prefer him with Kim, Patrick and his family. Love the way Patrick's got his beady eye on him and has told him so, go Patrick!
Like Mousey says I quite like the fact that I can't make him out; is he good, bad, misunderstood?

Not warming to Vincent at all, probably down to Richard Blackwood being pretty awful in the role. When you put him against McFadden, Womack and Empson he is very weak.

Its all bit contrived that he knows all these people. Married to Kim, has had some kind of affair with Ronnie, knows Phil from 'way back', brother of Donna and son of Claudette. Its all way too convenient.
But what DTC wants, DTC gets. So we're stuck with him.

Don't get me started on casting Ellen Thomas as Claudette. Two word's Aunt Grace. Is there so few black actors to play the role? ?? m0918

Phil was originally not from Walford. Now he is from Walford and seems to have always lived there. I wonder if there is more hidden history between the Mitchells and Hubbard's. I will one day see a family come in that does not have any links to Albert Square and where there will be no revelations that their best friend or lover is a half sibling.

Hahaha! Pearl is a cutie though, that head of hair! Bless her!

So Mr Hubbard, Vincent's father knew Den Watts then. Den must have been the most famous man in Walford, all the new characters seem to have known him, Vincent, Les, Shazza's father. Knowing DTC he would have a storyline where Den is Vincent's blood father and had a fling with Claudette years ago.

Having watched a lot of the early episodes of Eastenders (the first 68 were uploaded earlier this year) I can well believe Den being known to a lot of people. He ran the boozer and was always buying and selling dodgy gear.
However I am still unhappy with this continuing notion that Vincent grew up in Walford and knew lots of people. Would he not have gone to school with Mark, Michelle, Ian, Sharon? Or is there a second High School in Walford that we don't know about?

Vincent's step sister Donna is probably the most straightforward character in the show, the most honest. She speaks her mind. I prefer that than someone with airs and graces.

I have a friend a bit like her. Some people find her rude as she's so direct in the way she speaks but I prefer that to someone two faced!

Two faced people annoy me, ones who smile to your face yet are nasty behind your back, they slag people off behind their back, it makes you think do they slag you off behind yours? I prefer a straight person like Donna, if she has irks about you she will say.
