I first started watching when it started in the UK (I think 1986). Then when I got married and moved to the USA in 1989, I didn`t get to watch it again til the late 90`s when it was shown on the Oxygen channel here, and I got hooked on it again. Then after a few months, it was taken off the airways which devastated me. I started watching again online thanks to the wonders of technology. But when it became the Didge Parker show I went off it, and didn`t start watching again til Toadie and Sonya`s wedding in (I think) 2013. And I`ve been a faithful viewer ever since.

I remember watching when it was the old channel 7 show, a couple of months in, my mum had started to watch the show and said it was better than some of the other offerings at the time and worth a watch. I remember Darius Perkins as Scott and David Clencie as Danny. In some ways the channel 7 show was edgier than the channel 10 show.

It first aired in mid October 1986 in the UK. It was the Autumn half term when the BBC properly launched a daytime schedule, Neighbours, the Clothes Show, Open Air, Knots Landing from where they'd left it in 1983 and repeats like Poldark. All the kids getting to see the first 5 episodes before returning to School was one of the reasons it took off right from the start.
I watched from the first episode and was lucky that I lived close to my school so was able to come home to see it (along with several of my mates). I kept watching until i started working in London (late 1991) at which point it became too hassly to record it each day. Since then i've watched haphazardly, I'd tape it if i knew something big was happening and i've always kept track of what is going on via soap mags. I also saw most of 93/94 because my boss was a fan and had a tv in her office (PoR darling) so we used to watch it together at lunch time - that was during the Brad/Lauren/Beth era. I started taping again when Ian Rawlings joined as Wayne had been one of my first major crushes in Sons and Daughters but zoned out again when he left. I started watching again last year when Lauren and Brad returned out of curiosity and have stayed with it as it is pretty good.

I watched from the start (my mum used to video it for me when I was at school). I stopped watching regularly after Madge died and only really got back into it again this year, although I've dipped in and out over the years.

It still has a small but loyal fan base.

Paul Robinson is just as good looking now as he was in the very first episode 30 years ago. I wouldn`t kick him out of bed that`s for sure.
