I saw Gary Windass today in Spinning Fields in the City Centre... Wearing a bright blue Addidas bobby hat...
He looked like a proper knob and I think he knew it... He looked at me and I sort of gave him that disapproving look that a Dad gives to one of his kids when they're are wearing something stupid... He looked away and hung his head in shame...

According to Bill Podmore's book Fred Feast was like Fred Gee but ruder and stupider, when he quit, Podmore made sure that was the last we'd see of him and was pleased with the development of Jack Duckworth as the potman the Rovers always deserved.
I bumped into Lisa George at the weekend, she was in Congleton visiting family. She looks a lot prettier (and slimmer) in real life.

Geoffrey Hinsliff (Don Brennan) was ahead of me in a queue at Chelmsford Woolworths about 25 years ago.
Miles Petit (roy Farmer in Family Affairs) asked me if i had a light in a London bar about 15 years ago. I was young, thin and quite pretty then so like to think it might have been a precursor to chatting me up but I didn't have a light and my boyfriend was due any minutes so alas, I couldn't really go with it long enough to find out!
Interviewed Richard Franllyn (Dennis that was crushed to death by a bull in Emmerdale in 88) at a Doctor Who convention.
In fact, that is where i've met most famous people, some of whom have alsp appeared in Soap - through Doctor Who fandom. I met and talked to Bonnie Langford and William Russell (Ted Sullican in Corrie) just last month. But they aren't chance encounters so do,'t really count in this 'spotting' game.
I'm sure there have been a few others from when i worked in the West End of London i obviously it is 'theatre land' so you get a lot of actors wandering around.
Oh, not actually a soap star but relative - Lacey Turner's grandad used to sell me my morning newspaper at my railway station. He told me about her when she first got the job, before she became 'award winning'. I'm pretty sure he's retired now, certainly the stall has changed hands.

He lived with her in the late 90s. I think they split not long before she jpined FA and EE.
Oh remembered another one, Ian Sharrock who was Jackie Merrick in Emmerdale in a pub between Chelmsford and Boreham back in the early 90s. I believed round there at that time.

I saw Luke from Corrie yesterday in town... He walked right past me and just for a split second I nearly shouted "Luke"... As if I knew him...
Him and Maria must still be split up because he was on his own...

Well today I even trumped myself... There I was minding my own business going to the last call of the day in the Northen Quarter... I knocked on the apartment door and it opened... I looked at the guy and thought I know him... So I went about the usual stuff making notes so I can get a quote over for the Landlord and asking the tenant questions... He told me he was vacating and he'd had a leaving do the night before... So I asked him where he was going "anywhere nice" I added... London he said...
Not Portugal I replied... He looked at me all quizzical then a great big grin came over his face and a look as if to say you recognise me... At this point I just heard myself asking for a selfie and making some lame excuse about my wife not believing me... Yes, of course he said...
So I went for my phone and I couldn't find it anywhere... Starting to look like a fool I apologised and said I wasn't going all the way to the car just for a photo... Then he offered to take one on his phone and text it to me... Which he did...
Me and Gandy everybody...
Plus I now have his phone number...

You weren't tempted to open the window and call him a loser as you drove past?

The one and only... Kevin McCloud...

A hundred years ago I went to Drama School where I met my future husband. A term later a student came . He became my husband's best friend and drinking buddy. His name was John Forgeham . Later he was in Fottballers Wives and also The Italian Job. ( the original)
He was a bad boy though who drank himself to death in later years. He fell out of bed at a care home , broke his collar bone and had a bleed .
We lost touch when he took himself off to London to find his fame and fortune.

Apparently Bernard Youens aka Stan Ogden could be a bit rude to people if they approached him asking for an autograph in and around Salford and Manchester.
I guess he was a Southerner who played a Northerner and thought being from Hove that he was a cut above the Mancunians, who IMHO are more welcoming than Hoveians.
