Yay... It's back...!
Well as some of you know I have a beady eye out most of the time when I'm working around Manchester City Centre and when Corrie was filmed at Granada I used to see the soap stars quite regular...
In the past I have worked in Vera Duckworth's apartment (dead posh), Charlie Stubbs' apartment (scruffy bastard) and been on a course with Peter Kay (funny as fook)...
So back on Soap Chat I started a thread with the same title where everyone can share their experiences of spotting a famous name... since this isn't soap chat I thought I would rekindle the thread in this amazing forum...
Since the move to Media City I haven't had as many spots... until today...
When I was stood right next to, no other than Audrey Hmm Roberts... She even smiled at me as I stood waiting for someone to bring me some keys from an office... she was getting her clothes out of her car and taking them into the dry cleaners across the road... She is only tiny in real life (I thought she was tall) and she looked a lot younger than she does on the show... I was going to ask her for a photo but I couldn't think of her real name at the time and felt a fool shouting Audrey Hmm... As she left the dry cleaners I clocked the guy in the shop come to the window looking slightly impressed with himself...

What sort of work do you do to get to work in these celebrities houses? I'm in the wrong job!
I've never really seen a celebrity never mind someone from a soap (I'm guessing John Major doesn't count although I was quite excited by it at the time being a Tory lover... Mwooo ha ha ha *evil laugh*)

I do property maintenance... Charlie's apartment was rented through an agency who we work for and Vera's is her own but the building management company had to do some work on the block which was affecting her apartment...
Izzy ran over my foot last year and didn't even apologise... In fact I think I said sorry to her...!

A few years ago I spotted Chris Gascoyne (Peter Barlow) at a restaurant in Edinburgh near the Royal Yacht Britannia. He's bloody gorgeous in real life but alas I was with MrL and family and it looked like he was with his wife and kids so I couldn't jump on him smiley-biglaugh

In 1988 I was at Gatwick airport coming back from the USA after meeting my boyfriend (now hubby). I was at the bus terminal looking for the bus to take me to Newport, and I couldn`t find it. There was this one skinny bloke on his own and I asked him where the bus was. He grinned at me and said he didn`t know. And he kept staring at me and it made me feel uncomfortable so I walked away. It was only when I was on the bus and saw that bloke again stood at the bus stop. ANd I realised it was no other than Kevin Kennedy (Curly Watts on Corrie). I was kicking myself not recognising him coz I would have asked him for his autograph as our Mam liked him.

Roy Cropper spotted today on a push bike complete with cycle helmet and man bag... Looked like he had just left home from some 80s build apartments at the back of the Museum of Science & Industry...

Again I saw Jane Rossington, this time in Sainsbury's. I am not stalking her, honestly. Her trolley had lots of nice fresh veg, very healthy Jill, Meg would be proud.

My first ever brush with a soap star was at the tender age of 8 or 9... On my little push bike going up Cheetham Hill village (where the shops are)... Not looking where I was going... straight into Fred Gee...
I didn't realise who it was but my old Mum did... She was walking behind me... I remember him being a bit ungrateful though and with a few choice words just beacause I'd just ran straight into his knackers...
Some people eh...?
