No-one has mentioned this? ? I was totally hooked way back when, and when it was repeated not long ago. It was over the top even then, and of course now the fashions seem so bizarre. The best character of course was Pat the Rat, one of the best soap bitches ever. Of course two of the characters ended up in H&A Rowenna Wallace a.k.a Pat who married Don and Cornelia Frances who plays Morag.

I absolutely loved S&D. Years ago when I moved to the US I missed S&D so much. I even used to dream about watching it. And as soon as the theme song came up, I always woke up! So to my delight I was able to watch it again thanks to wonderful technology. And I`ve watched every episode.
I loved how a lot of S&D characters ended up in Neighbours or Home and Away David Palmer appeared in H&A briefly as a vicar in its infancy. He was a friend of Irene. And he even had the same name as one of the current characters LOL Irene Fisher was Ailsa Stewart Barbara Hamilton was Morag Bellingham Alison turned out to be Michaels first wife. She was also in The Sullivans Wayne was in Neighbours as Phillip (can`t remember last name)

And just last night on All Saints I saw twin John Palmer as a doctor. And 3 episodes later, his twin ANgela Hamilton is playing a jazz singer. She has an incredible voice if that`s hers. What a shame they just missed each other in episodes. A two episode gap

As well as playing Zoe Davies in Neighbours, Ally Fowler (Angela Hamilton) was in s2 of Wentworth as Simmo fairly recently. The sloany rich girl is a thing of the past, Simmo was a right bruiser!

I`m glad to see Ally Fowler is still getting work. I`ve always liked her. Although when Angela was first introduced she was a real snob. It was only when she met David and his side of the family that she became a much nicer person.

Yes I like Ally. She looks so good as well, hardly aged since her S&D and Neighbours days. She is great in Wentworth. I enjoyed S&D's, great afternoon entertainment. It led the way really, without it we may never had got Neighbours or H&A. Fiona, Beryl, Patricia, Gordon and David. Then Patricia became Alison. Them were the days.

Gordon, Fiona, Barbara, David, Jill, Beryl, Irene, and Charlie were always my constant fave characters. I also liked Angela, John and Rob. The ban `uns were great too...loved Wayne, Patrica, Terry Hanson, Paul Shepherd, Karen Fox. I loved Terry Hanson (Andrew Clarke) so much I married a bloke that looked just like him

The worst family in my opinion were the O'Briens. I liked Heather and her hubby, but the kids Katy and Jeff were awful. The actor who played Jeff couldn`t act for toffee, and I used to cringe in every scene he was in.

Used to love Abigail as Miss Templeton in Young Doctors. Loved Caroline and her hubby Doug. I`m glad they had a good ending.
