A thread for anyone watching the FA Cup final. Post any thoughts or feelings you have on the action. Hopefully, Aston Villa will do the job. Beat those stinking Gunners! I hope Arsenal go another 9 years without a trophy .

Just caight the first goals on the tv in the bar where we stopped for a drink on the way hone from the Fantastic 'Wheels' Festival in Bournemouth.
Now back at the flat, saw the 3rd goal.
My Dad is an Arsenal fan from childhood (he did actually live in Highbury for a few years when young so....) and when younger i'd support any team agains his - did Ipswich for some time as they'd beatedn the Gunners when I was about 8 and we're fairly close to where i lived then (Chelmsford) but Dad's had a hard year so I'm pleased for him.
Also, i've probably seen more Arsenal matches live than any other team over the years due to having several friends with season tickets so i guess if i have an allegiance to a football team it would be them - though West Ham is closest to where I was brought up and my second home is Bournemouth (where i am now) who have just been promoted so....
I'm such a tart, change affections so easily.

Lol, that's a nice backstory, kit. Damn you, Gunners! I'm sure your dad is a happy man today . 4-0 - Aston Villa didn't even turn up. They were chasing shadows half the time!

That's what it seemed like from what I saw.
I guess I'm a little weird football wise, Don@t have a 'team' and will sometimes go to great pains to avoid watching a game on tv, but I've seen probably about 30 premier matches including an England game in France (which involved a 30 hour drive) for the 98 World Cup
If I can ever figure out how to scan photos I'll downooad the pics of me at Toulose with Alan Sheraer aquatting in front of me Corporate seats, only the disabled were before us

I feel like I need to give some details giving my previously having said on here my family was from the North.
Mum's family are from Durham and Teeside though we have a couple of rogue branches in Nottingham and Luton. Dad was born in North London (Highbury) and evacuated to his Grandparents farm during WW2. He then returned to Borehamwood (North London _ close to Elstree) where he went to PrivATE School as he'd passed the 11+ and they didn@t have a grammar school so the nearest @pos@ school took some scholarship kids So Dad went to the same school as Leon Britton, Paul Condon (former head of Met Police) and later on Matt Lucas and Sacha Baron Cohen) He then went to University at QMC which is in the East End fron 58_61 which is where I get some of my EE knowledge from _ Dad was there when the KrAYS WERE starting out.
Anyway, afte5r University< Dad got a Graduate Apprenticeship which took him all over the Country and one long term placement was Teeside< where he met my Mum who was back teaching there after 3 years at Unuversity in London
They then did everything in the North, got married me Christened, all the family that matters are there so>>>>

Arsenal were terrific, a joy to watch.
Tim Sherwood looks like Bert Raccoon.
That is all.
