The first one that came to mind was "This is how we do" by Katy Perry which I had the misfortune to hear courtesy of my nephews playing it on their phones. Absolute shite.
Also hate "Story of the Moon", "Altogether Now" and "Size of a Cow" by whoever they're by, all of which are overplayed on Absolute Radio (by overplayed I mean they are played!).
There are probably others I can't think of right now.

I've lost count of the number of times I've said "OMG! This song is TERRIBLE!" (99% of modern music either depresses me or sends me into a fiery rage) but now that I've come to list said musical atrocities, my mind's gone blank! This is what's come to mind immediately though:
Anything by Adele Anything that emerges from The Cult of Cowell - special mention to Swagger Jagger by Cher Lloyd (using the word 'song' extremely loosely with that one). All About That Bass - Meghan Trainor Not Fair - Lily Allen (Remember being on a two-week training course and everyday, without fail, that song was playing - sometimes more than once!!)
ETA - My brother's just reminded me of another one - Nizlopi with JCB Song; made me want to kill things. ETA x2 - I also have an irrational hatred of Prefab Sprout's King Of Rock n Roll. ETA x3 - The Arctic Monkey's I Bet That You Look Good On The Dancefloor - smiley-angry

Anything by that bellend Olly Murs.Someone Like You by Asmelle, sorry Adele. The guy who got all pissy over 'snobbery' in the music industry ie. if you come from The X Factor, people look down on you/don't take you seriously... There's a reason for that : The X Factor is just a trashy, televised karaoke show where the only 'talent' needed to please the masses is a pretty face and a half decent voice; Cowell takes care of everything else. Now I wonder why that doesn't impress artists who have, y'know, done their own work rather than wait for a musical sugar-daddy to make them famous? It's a tough one...

Anything the nipper listens to.
We had proper music in our day and we'd run home on a Sunday evening to listen to the top forty.
I also despise all that chick music the wife likes, and every boy band ever fashioned. Shooting is too good for them. Collectively they've murdered so many classics.
I won't be buying any more records from Woolies I know. Not until they bring back Slade and Showaddywaddy.

Loving You - Minnie Ripperton. My body just goes into a complete cringe when I hear it, what with the squeaky voice and the birds tweeting in the background it's just nauseating! Another one here for I Just Called To Say I Love You - Steve Wonder. Ugh. Could never understand why it got to no.1. Same with Happy Birthday by Stevie, bloody loathe that as well. I prefer Stevie's really old stuff such as Uptight, Superstitious etc. The Power of Love - Jennifer Rush/Celine Dion - nowt the matter with the song (though I wouldn't choose to play it myself) but two people who I was very close to died when it was in the charts and they both loved it. Fernando - Abba. The same band who gave us Dancing Queen give us that shit? Tonight I Celebrate My Love For You - whoever it was by. Pass the sickbag!!! Most modern stuff is rubbish! smiley-biglaugh

Sorry but I just love Minnie Ripperton singing Loving You, especially FOR the song thrush trilling. Its always been a favourite of mine. What I hate with a venom is anything by Dire Straits, especially Sultans of Swing which makes me want to destroy the media it happens to be playing on. I also loathe any old crap from the Eagles whom I got dragged along to see at Wembley over thirty five years ago because the ex thought they were great, indeed I don't like anything from the genre of American Rock at all such as Kiss, Fleetwood Mac or any of that stuff he liked. I hate it all I also abhorr stuff such as Mr. Blobby, Barbie Girl or any of those silly records. Now I'm going to go put my Northern Soul CD on and calm down

Walk Of Life by Dire Straits. I Have A Dream by ABBA, again, they gave us Dancing Queen yet dished out shit like I Have A Dream. Anything by Atomic Kitten. Anything by Alesha Dixon, she has a voice like a cat clawing its way down a blackboard. Yes, silly songs like Barbie and Puff The Magic Dragon annoy me.

Oh God yes, how could I forget Dire Straits! I think I was supposed to like them as the lead singer was a local boy and sang about Whitley Bay but not a hope, they bored me to tears! Though I do have a certain fondness for Mark Knofler's solo song 'Why Aye Man' from the last series of Auf Wiedersehen, but that's purely because I put it on to wind the family up as they hate it! If there were mouse traps they'd be chucking themselves onto them, especially when I sing along smiley-biglaugh
Add me to the Alesha Dixon unappreciation. Can't stand her nasally voice and that stupid faux-American accent she puts on. I don't even like that 'Boy Does Nothing'. Robbie Williams does that stupid American accent too but at least some of his toons are catchy to make up for it but it does annoy me.
I don't like the vast majority of rap either. I think I only partly like 'Stan' and 'Lose Yourself' by Eminem, mainly because MissL used to blast them around the house and I got used to them.
More I hate:
The Millennium Prayer by Cliff Richard. Can tolerate his other xmas songs but have to switch that one off. The Cheeky Song - The Cheeky Girls. Do I really need to explain? Mysterious Girl - Peter Andre

That makes me remember BoyZone who i despaired off as they were constantly covering classics and buggering them up. "Why can't they do something original" I'd cry - then they did and it was even worse! I despise "Who Let the Dogd Out" and "If this isn't love, why does it feel so Good" by Sophie Ellis Bexter which was played constantly one Summer. Also anything from simply Red's "Stars' or 'Fairground'. I'm sure there are hundreds more but they are the ones that come instantly to mind.

Pretty much any 'worthy' or 'mythic' band like Dire Straits or U2. What was so great about Brothers in Arms fgs?

I thought Dire Straits were shit THEN and I have not changed my opinion Can't stand U2 either. Well I do like some rap and actually I like some drum & bass (cos I'm a pretty funky Granny truth be told!), I love reggae and soul, Northern Soul, Ska & Motown, interspersed with a spot of Andre Boccelli and Joseph Calleja. However this goth rubbish from that weirdo Marilyn Manson, or grunge? Nope. When I had my granddaughter here last summer we were finding stuff on Youtube from when I was her age. We did laugh rather a lot at the clothes but she did enjoy some of it, her favourite being "Bump No More No Big Fat Woman". I had her doing the bump here with me! Precious memories
