Oh right, they just want everybody to hate Cameron don't they - getting the Ste fans against him is a huge part of the Hollyoaks fanbase!!!
Again, I'm going to sound horrible but sympathy is muted. Tony can be an arse (and Diane is horrible) but i can understand why he is concerned whether Ste is a suitable boyfriend for his 18 year old, still at School and quite academically promising son.
18 is young for anybody to be in such a serious relationship but hooked up with Ste? Even leaving aside the drug past, being HIV positive, history od abusing his partner there is the fact that he falls in and out of love more often than he changes his she'll suit! Just ask Doug (or you can't, he's dead thanks to Sinead) or JohnPaul?!

Had to laugh at Grace at the end of an episode this week when she called Ste and Harry, Starry. Nothing like keeping the fans happy.

Like Grace's brothers, they are a good edition to the show, bit of light relief and all that. I think the 3rd brother rocks up next week. Cameron is an evil bugger. Poor Ste.

You can pull Hollyoaks apart a lot of the time, it is far from perfect, but when they get it right, boy do they get their message across. The Cancer storyline with Jade and Alfie has been brilliant, my heart is almost breaking for Alfie. It is powerful stuff. What with Coronation Street bordering on the the silly and insulting, EastEnders having moments of brilliance, but often losing the plot completely, at times watching an episode can be a real chore and can be like wading through treacle and Emmerdale has just too many episodes, (8 last week) what else is left to blow up in that village? Hollyoaks at times can be a fun alternative that is an easy watch and I would describe to people who don't watch as a cross between an ott American daytime soap, Crossroads with attractive people and the youthfulness of Saved by the Bell. It also throws up the odd surprise which isn't in a spoiler. I wish more people would give it ago, you may find it becomes your new guilty pleasure? thinking-023 It's 6:30pm slot Mon-Fri is ideal and is the old slot that Crossroads once had.

Caught a couple of episodes of this lately and I was surprised as how little things had moved on. Tony still with Jacqui Dixon, Nancy still with Darren (although the stress seems to be causing her to comfort eat) and that the students seem to all hate each other.
Surely the hallmark of a good soap is that it moves on? People accept the outcomes of situations and they develop and learn from it? Aspects of Hollyoaks don't seem to have moved on in years!

Nice addition to the show The Donovans. It will be interesting to learn more about Grace's other family.

I have to say Kieron Richardson's performance tonight just blew me away. This was something else, on a different level.
Can't wait for the 3 hander tomorrow. If you have seen it on E4 don't tell me what happens. m0918

Had to smile at Tony, he looked like the tangerine man. Was he hoping to audition for Strictly?

Just wanted to mention Gregory Finnegan who plays James Nightingale in Hollyoaks. A superb actor, what a surprise to see a different side to the character of James and to see what he went through as a child.

A very moving and sad episode of Hollyoaks on Friday. So well done, sadly being overshadowed by the itv soaps.

Not everybody's cup of tea, but it is a unique soap, modern and offers something different.
Congratulations, Happy 21st Birthday Hollyoaks, you are now the same age Brookside was. Long may you reign.
