I quite like him. He is a welcome addition to the show.

I don't mind him, I have issues with his voice though as its a bit squeaky and doesn't seem to match his hard man image.

As long as he doesn't go throwing his weight around like Phil then I don't really have a problem with him. He's a decent enough character, although I did enjoy Mick dismissing him from the Vic this week.

I loved that scene where mick owned him. Mick is myfavourite carter and danny dyer was fantastic the other night Ithought.

Micks complete hatred of him is weird though, you would think he would be a little curious about his biological father. Especially as Buster wasn't even aware that Shirley had given Mick up.

It is understandable given his closeness to Dean. Buster has 2 kids and so far like Shirley has favoured the rapist of Micks wife

I really wish this rape storyline would end.

I really wish this rape storyline would end. If they had kept it separate from the stan storyline it would have been good. It's a mess now

I don't know enough about Buster yet but the little I do know, he fancies Shirley makes me not like him. Also I agree with the consensus, why is he, like Shirley, favouring Dean over Mick? It certainly makes me question his judgement.

I do like how he laughed in Phil's face though. It's so predictable when all new characters are instantly afraid of him

The acting can be either ok or really dodgy. He is ok with Shirley and rather inoffensive to a viewer. Like Shirley he didn't raise Dean (one never knew he existed and the other walked out when he was a baby) so I don't get this so called mother and her sons dilemma at all. Nor Buster being that close to Dean. I actually dislike how Kevin has been whitewashed. Kevin raised Dean and he loved him as a dad. Very glad Mick remembered that with Stan. Yet Kevin was around a lot more then Stan was as a dad. I think the rape plot is offensive as it has become more about Shirley and Mick then Linda herself. And its all over egging it like Linda being pregnant etc. I am starting to wonder if Mick and Shirley will make up and break up (million times onscreen already) up to the birth s Shirley can deliver her grandchild and be the hero of the peace. As that's exactly how it feels, is not about the victim or the importance of reporting it early. Real shame and with the pregnancy we have months of angst ahead of us.
So he is ok and I don't mind him with Shirley. I do think giving her someone else to hang out with does help. Wish they showed more of her and Denise as friends. Not just Denise being used when the Carters can not be.

Is Buster sticking around long-term or is he going to disappear again? I'm finding it a bit difficult to form a solid opinion of him at the moment.
