I've always loathed this character ever since she first appeared on the show. From pretty much the first episode, she was sticking her nose into matters that didn't involve her and was doling out advice to all the Braxtons much of the time. And most of her advice was crap and just rude.
But she's now also an irresistable man magnet who men go weak at the knees for. I'm of course referring to our resident numpty doctor Nate Cooper, who dumped a perfectly fine girlfriend in Kat to get back together with this bland wet pillow of a woman. Why would you do that, Nate? Why? Are you glutton for punishment?
The moment Brax returns, Ricky will dump him (again) and go running back to Brax. She won't give Nate a second thought. Nate is just a replacement for Brax. And yet, for some reason, dopey Nate can't see that and actually believes Ricky loves him the same way he loves her. It's destined to end tears.
And then there's Kyle - who is practically Ricky's brother-in-law - lusting after her all of a sudden. Is there something in the air in Summer Bay? Or is Ricky just that irresistible? I can't work it out.
Meanwhile, you have heartbroken Kat, who was made to feel like a jealous bitch by Nate and Ricky throughout all of this, even though she was right to suspect something was going on. What's worse is Rick pretending to be her best buddy and then shagging Nate at the first opportunity and stealing him off Kat. It's a pretty shitty way to treat a 'friend'. The way the both of them have treated Kat has been appalling.
Also, what is wrong with Nate? He seems completely incapable of being straight with the women in his life and comes across really, really weak minded. Why did he get back together with Kat if he still had feelings for Ricky? He would've spared a lot of heartache if he told Kat the truth from the beginning.
This is exactly the same reason why his crazy teacher wife went off the rails because he was sneaking around her back with tarty Hannah - didn't he learn nothing from that debacle? Is Ricky that irresistible that he can't say no to her?
*Sigh*
