I haven`t seen last nights Casualty yet - or HC. It was only last night that I remembered I hadn`t watched last weeks Casualty. So I watched it while last nights Casualty was downloading on iPlayer LOL Robyn was moaning for ages she couldn`t get a fella, and was moping after Lofty for months. Now she has a decent bloke who likes her a lot - she dumps him. There`s just no pleasing her. She`s a pretty girl. Maybe if she lost some weight, and stopped wearing her hair in 6 year old girl styles she might get quite a few more dates.

Have they explained who did help Connie's friend to die or just forgotten about it once she was cleared? He had more than 2 of those tablets in his blood stream so who gave them to him given they weren't prescribed (so not a Nurse as part of his official drugs) and not Connie? I have a theory she must have got hold of some other pills that weren't from the hospital or she managed to get them from the hospital without anyone knowing. The two missing in the pack in her drawer were just a "cover up" she told the police about so she didmt get in trouble. I think she did help him die

Yes, i have to say something like that had occurred to me too. I don't actually think it is what happened, she was so conflicted about it beforehand and seemed genuine when she told the police she'd started but then hadn't been able to go through with it.
But, i did think at the time it was flimsy evidence to prove her innocence. Just because she didn't use that pack of pills doesn't mean she couldn't have got them from somewhere else, especially if it had been planned for some time. Written a prescription for another Patient and got it dispensed to herself for a full pack, signed out one or two at a time for treatment of Patients in the ED when it wasn't actually necessary etc. She's a Doctor for crying out loud.
Either way, somebody gave him the pills and for them not to follow up on it, even if it is just to say that the Police still haven't got to the bottom of it and it looks like it will be left as an open, unresolved case is really bad story resolution.

I reckon it was 'Gails Dad Ted from Corrie`s' carer who give him those pills. She looked very shifty in the scenes before he died.

Yes, I suspect you're right Wendy but it would be nice to get some on screen closure to it, surely the Polic wouldn't just give up on it?
I watched Saturdays last night and haave to say i actually quite enjoyed it. It wasn't great but made a nice change from standard Casualty and was an improvement on the other experimental episodes like Zoe's Groundhog day.
I thin they should push the boundaries every once in a while, even if not entirely successful to keep the show fresh.

I finally got round to watching last week's episode this afternoon, so my viewing came after reading about the backlash the episode had received.
And personally I loved it. It was certainly something different - compared to both what we're used to and even the other standalone episodes we've had over the last year - but I found it really engaging and quirky. I don't think it deserved the supposed backlash it received and I hope it doesn't put an end to the production team doing something different every once in a while.
I'm not going to attack the traditional formula as it's something that's worked to the show's credit for almost 30 years but I do enjoy seeing them break away from it from time to time - some of them are actually my favourite episodes, like the Ruth centric episodes we got when she attempted suicide in 2008 and when she was in the psychiatric unit in 2011, and also the episode focussed almost entirely on Charlie, Tess and Megan in 2010.
If I did have one criticism though it's that they brought Hanssen down for this episode. Don't get me wrong, he was good in it, but it feels wrong bringing him down for one episode and not letting him and Connie cross paths again. Bit of a missed opportunity there.

Since that episode can't get back into it. I am still trying, but may give it a miss?

I caught Casualty a couple of weeks back, and noticed it was another episode filmed here in the Gaer.
(they film most of their outside stuff around here)
It was the one where Charlie's lad was shooting up inside some rough looking flat. My mate Macca lives in those flats, but I had no idea Charlie's lad lived there too.
So when I left Macca's the other night, a bit steamed up admittedly, I shouted out ... "Oi ... Louis ... get that needle out of your bloody arm lad and think about your poor old dad!"
Next thing, his burly neighbour came out and told me to keep the noise down or he'd knock my head off.
That's the last time I try and do the right thing.

That place did look rough Unk. I thought it was the Pill area for sure. I`ve never been there, but just heard about the bad reputation it got. I thought the Gaer area was quite posh. The part I went to anyway.

The part I went to anyway. Those flats are quite nice really Wav, there's decent security doors and nicely tended gardens, so there's no graffiti or owt like was depicted in Casualty. That was added by the TV guys mate. They're actually quite smart and really well looked after. A lot of elderly folk live in them, indeed my mate Macca is in his late sixties. Pill on the other hand is rough. They'd cut your head off down there for a gold tooth.

Awww crap Honey is back....thought we`d seen the last of her. If they pair up Ethan and Honey I will definitely stop watching til she`s gone for good.

As soon as Ethan stared longingly at the incredibly annoying Honey I think we all saw which way the land lies. Ugh, can't be doing with that woman either on this or in real life! Quite enjoying that fella in the vest, him who used to be in EE, he's certainly made an impression (takes me ages to learn new characters names redface4 ) But I refuse to believe that he'd have got off with calling Connie 'sweetcheeks' (or whatever it was). Per-lease. She'd have cut him down with a withering look never mind what her sharp tongue would have done and put him right back in his place. Although if he continues to wind up Rita I'll be right on his side I enjoyed the 'Sin City' type episode a few weeks ago, thought that was a bit different though I noticed that it didn't really go down well in other parts!

I agree Lotty. I`m enjoying Jacobs scenes in Casualty too. When he left EE as Ray - then so did I. Ray leaving was like the straw that broke the camel`s back. I haven`t watched EE since he left - nor have I missed it.

Anyone else think something might happen between Jacob and Connie? I used to think she might have a fling with Cal (love, hate relationship there) but maybe not now Jacob is on the scene flirting with her which she appears to enjoy!
