I was at high school.
Barbara wasn't 61, that's a very generous reduction!
I think in some ways Derek and Don had to go, they had run their courses and it was getting harder to write meaningful stories I imagine.
It was nice to see Angie back and I think she could come back again, what's to stop her running Underworld?
Of course the Press weren't always right. Mike and Alma ended up divorcing and both characters are dead now.

Seems like only yesterday. I was at high school in 1996 as well. Turned 14 that July. I remember Joyce Smedley well, Judy Mallett's mother.

Teehee I love the way the Daily Mirror kept calling Brian Park 'Brain instead of Brian. Brainless is more like it.
