Does anyone else watch this? I have just started on series 3, I don't think I have watched anything so nutty in my life! It's just completely bizarre, which is great as I was after something a little different. I'm not a big fan of the horror genre, but this is more black comedy I feel. I like the fact each series focuses on a different cars and different stories, it keeps things fresh. I preferred series one to series two, series 3 has been so good so far.

YES!
I absolutely love the complete and utter bonkersness of it all. I've been lost since Hotel finished.

PS: I want to be Jessica Lange when I grow up.

I started watching this on Netflix recently. Season 2: Asylum was actually my favourite season, I loved the mystery of it all and the use of aliens and demons in the story. Bloody Face is still my favourite villain in the show to date. I also liked the use of a past and present narrative, which gave the storytelling a great dynamic and added suspense and intrigue. I actually didn't enjoy any of the other seasons, which is a pity. I found Season 1: Murder House okay, it started off pretty good when you thought the story was going somewhere interesting and then it sort of went downhill and ended in a whimper IMO. Season 3: Coven and Season 4: Freak Show Shows were crap IMO. I wasn't engaged by any of the storylines, though I did enjoy some of the episodes. I haven't watched Season 5 yet. I agree, it is a really bizarre and bonkers show at times . I can't work out whether that's a good thing or bad thing, because I've only enjoyed one season out of the four seasons I've watched on Netflix. But you have to give the writers credit for at least trying to offer something different with this show. It's like The Twilight Zone on crack .

I didn't like Asylum at first and abandoned it and skipped to Coven. Then when I gave it another shot, Asylum actually became my favourite series so far.
I didn't have much hope for Hotel due to its lack of Lange and Lady Gaga appearing to be pretty shit at first, but by the end I came to the conclusion that Gaga was playing a blinder - as you get to know her character it becomes apparent that her bland soulless acting is actually spot on. It's up there as one of my favourites so far. They've started merging the series together quite a bit now and I can't wait to see where that takes us! Evan Peters and Denis O'Hare are outstanding in Hotel.

I'm having a break before I tackle Freak Show and Hotel. I don't think Coven lived up to its potential. Sadly the show seemed to peak in its first season,

Hotel's one of my top 3 AHS's - don't give up the frankly wacky ghost if you think Freak Show's a load of shit.
I nearly didn't carry on with Hotel after episode 1 - it made me want to barf. I'm glad I did though.

I'm glad I did though. Is it worth skipping Freak Show and going straight to Hotel? I might watch both in a few weeks but I felt like I needed a breather.

You could, they're still stand alone series, but they are starting to merge elements of them now with characters from previous series popping up.

That will be weird considering the actors play several characters!

There's only been one instance I can think of so far when other characters "should" but failed to think hang on, they look a bit familiar... I'm still trying to get my head round that one

Hey, Lady Voldemort & ScrabblyWabbly ... What do we all think of the new season "Apocalypse"? I've enjoyed it so far. I do wish they did less flashback episodes, though, and focused more on the present. I feel the quality has suffered a little bit because of that. I'm liking the crossovers, though - the return of Murder House was one of the highlights. Although I wasn't a fan of "Coven", it was nice to see all the witches return to help fight the Antichrist. This is basically AHS's answer to Avengers: Infinity War.
