Good film, have seen it many times now though. The endless shouting of the officers during the sinking scenes is so predictable now and gets a bit grating such as "lower away" and the annoying voice of Murdoch, who used to be Del's doctor in Only Fools And Horses. And The Master At Arms who arrested Jack and took him to the brig used to be Joe Schofield who sold dodgy shirts to Fred Gee and Jack Duckworth in Coronation Street.

I remember seeing this at the cinema with a group of friends. At the end one of the girls turned to me and said "isn't it clever how they managed to find all those old photos of someone who looked like Kate Winslet".
And another friend:
Him: Don't tell me how it ends. Me: It sinks Steve. Him (arsy as you like and not in jest): I said don't f**king TELL me!!
I no longer see these people.

I've not seen it. I don't know how I managed that, I think it was out at a time when I was a bit of a party animal, lol.

Rose and Jack (Rack, if the film was released today, shipping names is so common) were the lead characters.
I have noticed many mistakes in the film such as the waterline bobbing up and down as Jack was trapped in that room. And when you get camera panning shots of the ship as it sails from Western Ireland, you can clearly see CGI of people on the decks and there is space between their feet and the deck. They are floating over the deck.
In real life no way would a third class passenger be allowed to dine in first class.

Awful film, I have only seen it once and I fell up the stairs coming back from the loo. Everyone in the cinema laughed, I think they were just glad to finally have some entertainment,

The film was very contrived. It was a fairytale based on a real disaster. Not only would a third class pauper ever be allowed to dine in first class but all outside scenes were sunny, whereas on the real voyage many days were overcast and raining. And the sunlight directions are all wrong as is the sinking, in the film the ship appears to sink, then come afloat again then sink again.
When you think of the real Titanic disaster, you must never think of James Cameron's film. A total parody of the real event.

What would have made the film great is if Rose said she had a baby in January 1913, 12 months after she shagged Jack in the car in the cargo hold.
