Could they be any more obvious? Both going on holiday alone at the same time. And yet Donna and Pam were just oblivious to the whole thing!
And I don't like the name Claudette in Eastenders, it just really sticks out and not in a good way.

I don't mind her really, but I do agree that they're being fairly obvious. I thought the gift Les bought her would come back to haunt them at some point, too. There was a lot of fuss made over that necklace.

It's like Les is paying for her services by buying her jewellery and whisking her off on holidays. I wonder how he paid Pat for the services she provided....

Les knew Pat? I wouldn't be at all surprised to be honest. They tend to find a way of linking newer characters with established ones (Stan used to drink in the Vic, Kush played football with Martin and Les had definitely at least heard of Nick Cotton)

Les first appeared just after Pat died, it was heavily insinuated that he used to be a client of Pats and he said he was responsible for a lot of the funerals of Albert Squares residents.
He also appeared when Ray Dixons daughter Sasha was about as she did some work experience for him and he was about when the goon brothers were selling tat out of the lock up I think.

I remember he appeared for Pat's funeral but forgot much of what he actually talked about during that time. I still remember being creeped out by Sasha though!

Sasha and Shenice. *shudders*
I'd prefer they axed Les. I find Roger's acting really off putting. If this is an affair, then it would be the final straw for me.
He seems so close to Birdy. Why is he straying? I don't get it and worse I don't really care.

It's a bit of a odd storyline with little explanation other then the obvious of a affair of sorts, wasn't Les having money problems a few weeks back and now he sunning it up in gran canaria, how can he afford it? and what kind of wife would let him go on he own anyway, a few plot holes forming already.

There was a lot of fuss made over that necklace. I have a feeling it will when Pam finally finds out. He got her a foot spa for their anniversary but his mistress a fancy necklace for her birthday! I think Pam will be kicking up a storm about that like any woman would. It's like buying your wife a frumpy pair of PJ's but your bit on the side a sexy negligee! Plus there's the money angle, they're skint but he's buying expensive presents for her? Pam ain't gonna be happy!

Has he explained it away as a golfing holiday or anything? I know plenty couples where the hubby disappears for a few days on a golfing holiday or the woman a spa hotel. If he hasn't explained it away like this what the hell is Pam thinking? Does SHE not deserve a holiday? And like you say they're not exactly rolling in it so why's she letting him waste this money? Weird.

We never did get to the bottom of Pam killing her son and she never found out about Les' role in the whole Nick debacle, it said in the press release for her character that she would go totally ape when she found out what Les had been up to.

You're right about their stories getting picked up but left unresolved. No doubt this one will run and run too so I shouldn't expect an irate Pam for about ... oooh ... 3 years? lol! Re Les and Nick's funeral, I wonder if he could have got off by saying that he was told it was Nick Cotton so assumed it was Nick Cotton (even though we all know he knew all along) therefore he'd done nothing wrong? Perhaps him and Charlie had come to this arrangement if they were caught?

And even then it will probably be a ten second reveal while the rest of the episode deals with the fall out of Nancy being Johnnys mother or something else as daft. yeah maybe. I still find it odd that Nick hasn't had a second funeral, I really wish they had dealt with the fallout of this storyline much better.
