Has anyone else been watching then? What did we all think?
Personally, while the acting has been fantastic - and I had a tear in my eye for both deaths so far, although Josh took an eternity to expire - the actual explosion itself, the editing and the PCBH-esque wobbly sets have added an element of unintentional fun to the proceedings for me.

I can`t believe I was crying over Josh Willis`s death yesterday. And he`s a character I never did like that much. The writing and acting as superb though. And I have a newly found respect for Piper. Her acting was terrific. I also cried when Doug Willis died....especially when his ghost was watching over Brad and Karl and Doug was smiling. Wow that was so sad. I never liked Brad, but to lose a son and Father in just a few hours must be so heartbreaking. I really feel sorry for him.
So a question to long time Neighbours fans..... why was Ned and his Father Brad estranged for years? Did they have a falling out?

Maybe they made him bearable so we'd care when he died. I only started watching regularly again about 3 years ago when the Willis and Turner families arrived and then Daniel, because I'm a sucker for a throwback to the days I was a massive fan and then I got hooked. I'm not entirely sure what the deal is with Brad and Ned - Brad left Beth (Ned's mother) for Therese but from what they've said, the Willis kids seem to have known Ned for part of their lives, so I'm in the dark as to what caused their ultimate estrangement.

It was around that time I started watching too LadyV. It was when there was an explosion and the pretty Asian Erinsborough High principal died at (I think) Toadie and Sonya`s wedding. I can`t remember her name, but she had an affair with Paul Robinson....like the rest of the female population in Sydney LOL. I liked her hubby too - just can`t think of their names. I thought Daniel`s entrance was excellent....even down to the music played at Scott and Charlene`s wedding on a cd in Daniel`s car. I think it was called Suddenly. And the actor was brilliantly cast as he looks like both Scott and Charlene.

I have to say, I'm enjoying watching Hot Ned a lot. Then I remember I'm twice his age and feel a bit ashamed of myself.

Yes 'Suddenly' was the song played in the wedding scenes.

I have to say, I'm enjoying watching Hot Ned a lot. Then I remember I'm twice his age and feel a bit ashamed of myself. I used to have that problem with Peter Beale as played by Ben Hardy. Thought he was really attractive and then would remember he was born on my best mates 23rd birthday so really much too young for me! Yes, i've been watching and quite enjoyed it. A lot of the timing seems a bit off (how did Georgia get out before the blast and why is nobody worried about her) and too much happening offscreen like characters being told Josh and Doug had died but pretty good. I too found Josh's death quite moving which I didn't expect to as he was a bit of a void to me. I didn't dislike him, he'd just never made much of an impression. I think it was that he was being such a brave little sausage, holding on to make it as easy as possible for his family. Doug dying had a bigger impact though because he is one of the few true patriarchs Neighbours has had and goes back so far. I think Beth is just meant to have made it very difficult for Brad to see Ned and also poisoned Ned against him so he chose to break off contact once he was old enough.

Just catching up with Neighbours this week. Really getting back into this show. I have to say it is heads and shoulders above Home and Away, Emmerdale and Coronation Street. For some reason it works, it's not breathtakingly brilliant, but it is consistently good and very watchable. It is doing good business on Channel 5, sad it is not hitting the figures it had on the BBC but when you add the two airings a day it is nudging 1.5 million viewers.

So Paige`s new found brother and Grandfather dies, and what does she do? Spend her time at the hospital worrying and obsessing over some bloke who saved her from the Lassisters blast. She needs to get her priorities straight. I used to really like Paige when she first came into it. But lately she annoys me.

And then gets the hump (and not in the way she was probably hoping) when be finds a new friend to play with.
