Another draw, another miserable weekend for United... congrats to Ole Gunnar Solsjaer - he's turned us into a mid-table team! We're not Man United anymore, we might as well call ourselves Cardiff United!! Why haven't they sacked the Norweigan PE Teacher yet?! This United team couldn't beat Rochdale for christ's sake!!

Another good win for Spurs, & a few other favourable results, has us up to 5th on the table in quick time! A big game coming up mid-week, Teeks.

Yes, big game, aussielad. I'm absolutely terrifed!! Jose's gonna have a field game with the circus that is Manchester United! I'm sure he'll take pleasure from it too! Talking of Spurs, Dele Alli can't stop scoring! Where was this player hiding under Poch?!

MANCHESTER UNITED FINALLY WON A GAME OF FOOTBALL!!!!! I'm absolutely shocked. I'm stunned to my core. I dunno what to do with myself. United really need to stop spoiling us fan like this! Unlucky, aussielad . Good game, pal. I wish we could play Spurs every week! I didn't expect Solskjaer to get the better of Mourinho, to be honest. What did you think, aussielad? Are you alarmed by the loss? By Mourinho's tactics? Or is it still too early to judge Mourinho's Tottenham? I do fear Mourinho will turn Spurs into another dull team that sits back and plays on the counter-attack - it is an outdated style of football in 2019.

Well done The Red Devils! I would have been happy with a draw at Old Trafford. I have only seen the highlights, but the penalty looked rather soft...I bet you laughed Teeks when James slid into Mourinho’s leg! (I must admit, I chuckled myself!).
Can’t say I am alarmed as yet. The winning run had to come to an end sometime, & there is no shame losing at Old Trafford (well, not really....haha). I think it is still too early to judge Mourinho’s tactics, but if they do end up consistently sitting back etc, then I think plenty of people will be having a bit to say.
It really was an important win for Man U, Teeks.

To be fair to Mourinho though, he did attempt to play attacking football against United, but it didn't work out for him. We managed to keep all his best players quiet! Harry Kane in particular. One thing I'll say is that the amount of goals Spurs are shipping under Mourinho has surprised me! Mourinho's teams are meant to be defensively solid! He has conceded 8 goals in 4 games so far!! That would alarm me a bit as a Spurs fan. I wonder how he's gonna fix that? Spurs' defence is ageing with the likes of Vertonghen and Alderweireld getting older. And I'm not sure Davinson Sanchez is good enough to fill the void... Not to mention Aurier looks awful at right-back - did you see Marcus Rashford nutmeg him?! That was a delightful piece of skill! I agree, an important win for United. I thought Ole actually made some good tactical decisions for once and did a good job of exposing Tottenham's weaknesses. But once again his substitutions let him down. However, overall, you have to give him credit. It's just a shame Ole and the players only bother to show up for the big games! We never seem to show up for the smaller games! For the time being, Ole is safe from the sack. He's bought himself some time with that victory. I still don't think he's anywhere good enough to manage Man United and I still expect him to be sacked and replaced by Poch at some point. I'd love Ole to prove me wrong though...

That's the best run he'll ever have... They'll be bottom of the league come February... Poor old Tottenham... Alan Sugar will be spinning in his grave...

You are quite right about the Spurs defense Teeks. I must admit that aspect is quite alarming. I am a fan of Vertonghen, but as you say he is getting on a bit now. The less said about Aurier the better....Maybe they will let Mourinho go to the market in January to bolster their defensive stocks for the future. We will see.
Don't be cheeky Charley! We won't be near the bottom of the table come Feb, but I am doubting whether we will be playing in Europe next season (unless of course they miraculously win the Champions League this year...I can dream can't I!!).
I agree Teeks that Ole is safe for a little while, but I can't see him being there long term. Poch to the rescue? (unless someone picks him up in the meantime)

Yo, Charley Says... what has happened to the mighty Man Shity this season?! We bossed you at times in that game! Where was your tika taka football?! It was nowhere to be seen! Love seeing Pep's face when he loses!! Leicester City is my only hope now. Come on, Leicester! Beat the Scousers to the title! I'm counting on you, boys!

I honestly don't know what to make of Solskjaer as a manager... he can beat top teams like Chelsea, Man Shity and Tottenham and draw with the likes of Loserpool and Arsenal...
But he can't seem to beat small teams like Bournemouth, Sheffield United, Newcastle and West Ham!! I don't understand it!
We need to play with the same mentality against smaller teams. No good turning up for the big games if we can't perform in the small games...
Ole still has a lot to work on and I still have my doubts about his coaching ability, but the last two wins against Tottenham and Man Shity have given me some optimism. He needs to go on a winning run now to convince me he has a future as Manchester United manager! If we go and lose the next game, this victory will mean nothing!
In the meantime, Ed "The Clown" Woodward better give Ole some new signings in January so we can push for that Top 4 spot... we're in desperate need of some quality midfielders...

Could it be that the Spurs win has 'spurred' Man U into action?? But, like you say Teeks "No good turning up for the big games if we can't perform in the small games...". We will see.
Hey, how about Son's 'goal of the century' against Burnley. Wow!

Oh no, aussielad... another defeat for Spurs against Bayern Munich in the Champions League. The 3-1 result means Bayern have now scored 10 goals over two games against Spurs. And, apparently, this Bayern team isn't even very good... they're 7th in the German league!! That is shocking!

By all reports it was a pretty poor performance, but I am not overly concerned Teeks, given it basically was a ‘dead rubber’. But the form of a few, including the disinterested Eriksen, remains a problem.Things need to pick up quickly. Is February when the knockout stages begin? I see that Mourinho is saying that the top sides remaining in the CL wouldn’t want to play Spurs - I am not sure many would agree...

Yeah, I suppose it was a meaningless match. At least the scoreline wasn't 7-2 this time. So there's that. I think Mourinho said that to talk up the team and improve the morale of the players. Usually he is quick to stick the knife in his own players! At United, he was always talking the club down and saying the players weren't good enough instead of coaching them the right way... And what's this I hear about Spurs being linked to current and former United players, Nemanja Matic and Marouane Fellaini? Imagine a Spurs midfield with those two snails! I wouldn't wish them on any football fan.
