Doctors back today Seemingly no lockdown in Letherbridge. I’m going to live there.

Best soap ever. Yesterday’s episode was brilliantly written and performed, from the heartbreak of Alzheimers to stalking, featuring an actress from the past, Susan Penhaligon.

I agree Lou, just watched tonight. Interesting to see Tom Lister of Emmerdale fame. Doctors began its 22nd series yesterday, Monday ending series 21. It had an audience of 1.8m/21.1% of viewers winning it's slot as it always does and it is excellent, i record and watch when i can, quality and as good if not better than the evening soaps.

I had to give up watching because I simply didn't have time to watch 4 soaps regularly but I used to enjoy it when I watched it. Didn't it often get more viewers than Hollyoaks?
Seems a mad decision especially as they want to make more programmes out of the capital and Doctors was already set and made in the Midlands and has been for years. And let me guess what it's getting replaced with? Quiz show? Antique show? House programme? Like there's not enough of them already.

Yeap Doctors always wins it's slot, it even beat Neighbours when it was on Channel 5. It gets well over a million viewers, Hollyoaks has not hit that even adding the repeated episodes for a very long time. Doctors is going because of budget cuts, I wonder if Father Brown and Shakespeare and Hathaway will be next.
