Give me quality over quantity everytime. Although with Corrie lately I`l make an exception. Under Blackburn it`s been dire. I reuly hope Kate oates can turn it around. I`m loving her idea of bringing 3 cast members back. I know Toyah and I know Brian Packham but I have never seen the 3rd character . Who is he? Whatever happened to Julie too ? Why not bring her back ? Ken had a relationship with a hairdresser, Denise Osbourne back in 1994 and he fathered her son Daniel who was born in 1995 making him 21 now. He lived with Ken for a short while as Denise buggered off but she came back and snatched him. Ken was never able to find him again. |

What a lush, she has certainly gotten around the male Soap characters.  |

3 extra characters is not going to fill another 30 mins a week. I also can't see any child of Ken's hanging around long term. Be good to see Toyah again, she has unfinished business with Maria for starters, my concern is that her return may be linked to Emily, via Spider. Eileen Derbyshire was due back from her 6 month break last month but we've heard nothing.

I just remember Ken's son in real life playing his grandson in Corrie. He was a really wooden actor. That would be James Roache who played his grandson. His father Lawrence Cunningham another of Ken's illegitimate children and played by Linus Roache is actually a successful actor and used to be in the Royal Shakespeare Company. Linus actually played the part of Peter Barlow back in the 70's too. |

Linus Roche is, as you say, a well respected Shakespearean actor. I live very near Stratford on Avon and go to the theatre there a lot. I have seen one or two corrie actors in plays there but Linus is more of a regular there. He is Ken's son from his first marriage.

(William) James Roache is not really an actor IMO. His IMDb shows less than a dozen roles in 10 years. He was in Corrie because of who his father is.

They`ll probably kill off Denise or recast her as Denise Black is now in Emmerdale. I`m wondering why Julie isn`t coming back with Brian too Lou. I thought they were suited brilliantly. Maybe the actress who played Julie didn`t want to come back. Perhaps she will change her mind.  |

I don't know whether or not to trust the claim that these three characters are being brought back. There have been talks in the past about Toyah "returning" but nothing comes of it.

I think she has moved on from the teenager she once was and is now acting in all sorts of other things so I can't see her wanting to go backwards but we'll see. |
