Stella was just Cindy Beale with a Northern accent.Yes, Collinson shoehorned Stella into Betty's exit, and had it that Gordon now owned the pub, and in the end, Gordon decided not to take up the bequest now his mother Betty was dead. Stella spoke as if she knew Betty but she arrived just weeks after Betty last appeared. Like when, at Jack Sugden's funeral, Val Pollard in Emmerdale spoke of Amos and Mr Wilks as if she knew them. If you could call it that... Wasn't like any northern accent I've ever heard... Was it around that time when Darran Little moved on...?

Darran Little left at the start of 2010. Such a loss.

Yesterday (17th October) marked ten years since Liam Connor was killed by Tony Gordon.
Now Carla has another husband who is a killer, and also used a car to commit the crime.

His axing led to that dreadful affair storyline with Tina and Peter.

Yesterday was 48 years since Bernard Youens had a minor stroke which affected his speech a bit, and his performance as an actor. I always feel due to this, that 1976-1984 Stan was a different character to the vibrant and chatty 1964-1975 one.

Sue Nicholls was born 80 years ago today. Her Corrie character is 3 and a half years older as we know.

It was 59 years ago today that Rita first appeared, as Rita Littlewood. This was the only episode where Rita was in the show contemporary with Florrie Lindley, jack Walker and Leonard Swindley.

15 years ago today Tony Gordon sends Jed Stone to Wigan after nearly killing him on Christmas Eve. Aside from Jed making a further 3 appearances in January and February 2009, we never hear from him again or his fate.

I hope Jed is still alive, as he would be 83 now and Kenneth Cope is still alive at almost 93, he was quite a few years older than the character.
On my Corrie Past & present wiki I have updated the fan story about Terry Duckworth being Tyrone's father and how jack and Vera may have known all along, hence why he was keen to sell the house to him in 2010.
Would be a great twist if Cassie Plummer revealed Terry was Tyrone's father.

It would be a heck of a reveal. Tyrone is supposed to have been born in 1982, before Terry lived on the Street so it could work, but would also mark him out as a bit of a groomer. Cassie is a fair bit younger than Terry. Would she have been underage to have conceived Tyrone back then?
