I forgot about Dean! What does he think he's up to, he's effectively kidnapping Jade! How far does he think he's going to get with little to no money? Is he going to become an illegal immigrant?! What will he do if Jade's ill because I bet he's not buying travel insurance as with Jade's problems he wouldn't be able to afford it. Don't get me wrong he can go for good for all I care but the man is insane. How long does it take to get long term visas for America? He's got a criminal record and went to prison. Highly unlikely he'd be let into the country. Would Ben's extradition have happened so fast? Not allowed to appeal? Ben wouldn't have got in either last year, he's got a criminal record, did time. I think we're just supposed to over look these facts lol!

Monday: Oh dear, the wheels are falling off The Six and they're starting to be all out for themselves. Feel a bit for Kathy though as she's also got all the Ben stuff to contend with too. And Suki will chuck anyone under a bus to save herself. The worse thing was Linda not getting rid of the murder weapon in the first place but then having a fit when she saw it again yet STILL not getting rid of it herself (or via Johnny). It was probably safer in the kitchen drawer via Elaine than in the other's hands. Denise ending up living with Phil - who saw that coming? But yes, Phil gave away his true motives when he said to Kat in the Vic ' someone wants to live in my palace'. But he's also probably a bit lonely, he's used to the loud Kat and her kids being there. Oh George. Once again Gloria lets him down. It was like he was punishing himself at the end But she's trying to run with the hare and hunt with the hounds, not possible. She has to make a choice and no matter what we think of Eddie she's been with him for many, many years and the attachment is strong. Where will it end.

I forgot George had a son, no doubt he will appear at some point. Christopher Fairbank as Eddie Knight outstanding as always, absolutely vile but played to perfection. I like the friendship Linda has with George. Kellie Bright excellent as always.
I just knew they were going to frame Dean and I hope he goes down for it. A farcical episode in many ways with more holes than a colander , but I did enjoy it.

So with the mention of George Jnr tonight no doubt he will be showing his face soon. Eddie being as nasty and evil as always but played so well.
Stacey is going to plant the thermometer in Dean's gaff. It was on the cards. There's going to be no New York holiday Jade so just get yourself off to Pakistan and give us all a break.

Tuesday:
There's such a height and general size difference between Eddie and George but the Eddie actor more than holds his own and commands the room. That's presence. For all George's size he can still bring him down with words and now those words are threatening Gloria. Vile man but what a great actor, as is George of course and I'm hoping that EE can hold onto him for a lot longer.
So the Six Four have grouped to stop Linda maybe dropping them all in it so have decided to frame Dean. I like it, good luck Stacey. But of course if Dean was in the Vic that night and did see it all and has for some reason been keeping his powder dry he could really blow everything up ... but I doubt it, this is Dean. If he had the upper hand in anything he wouldn't be able to resist letting them know and he'd have been blackmailing them for his escape money. Plus there's no way, unless anyone's leaving, they'll want to lose six big characters.
Good episode.

Some lovely funny moments tonight amongst the drama. Kathy: "You sound posher than me" Suki: "Anyone sounds posher than you!"

In away it would have been nice if the pastor was a "normal" not creepy sex pest character. But this is soap in 2024 and not 1980 sadly. I liked how Linda thanked Stacey for sticking by her. Colin Salmon excellent again tonight. A good duff duff is Gloria dead, I think not?

That was another good episode tonight.
Will Linda spill the beans or will Johnny come to her rescue? Kellie was on The One Show tonight but gave nothing away.
The Court scenes were good but poor Gloria has suffered enough of this. Did nobody else see her lying there and it took George to go after her to find her.
I'm interested to know what took Billy away from shopping for trainers with Honey. Stupid I know.

Wednesday:
OMG Linda, if I was the rest of the Six I'd be worried now. How will she hold up during questioning?!
But I'm loving the idea of Dean getting sent down for something he hasn't done when he got off for something he had done. Especially if he finds out Linda was behind it.
Could Dean's off-the-cuff remark about her liver possibly be the catalyst to stop her drinking? He's right, she'll not live to see her little ones grow up if she doesn't do something soon. He didn't care of course, just wanted to have a go, but it would be excellent if his barb actually ended up saving her life.
Eddie is such a c u next tuesday. Marched off and didn't see his wife collapse? Didn't turn round to see where she was? He can't stand that she's not doing what she's told for once.
Tonight's episode should be good!

A corker of an ep to end the week. Moving scenes with Gloria and George. "I don't want to be in the ground with him. I want to be cremated." Elizabeth Counsell outstanding. Kellie Bright played a blinder tonight. Perhaps a slight pause for the Six storyline for now, but it ain't over that's for sure. My only niggle of the ending was the duff duff, I would have liked them to play out with the music on the tape recorder without the drums at the end and the usual EE theme, apart from that top notch, a very good week.

That was a fabulous episode tonight to end the week and also sadly the end of Gloria who has been a wonderful addition to EE. Colin Salmon doesn't need to speak to act, his facial expressions says it all. King Phil spoke some words of wisdom to George and he took them on board.
Kellie Bright was excellent in the police station and Dean goes down! It couldn't happen to a nastier chap.
I wonder where The Six go from here though?

What an episode.
Lovely. emotional scenes between George and Gloria. Her dying to George's birth mother singing an African lullaby seemed rather apt somehow. She knew she'd done wrong to this woman but by that time she loved George so much she couldn't bear to part with him - and who can blame her really? She'd had him for many years, she'd brought him up and, IMO, it was naive of his birth parents just to expect them to hand him over. How unsettling would that have been for George? Not only different parents/family but country! I'm not saying for one micro minute that his dad deserved to be murdered for it though.
I'm sorry to lose Gloria, she was a great character and I would have loved to have seen her move into the Vic with George but it wasn't to be. She must've died happy though being reunited with her son and she doesn't want to be buried with Eddie! Who can blame her ...
Great Phil and George scenes too with some words of wisdom from Phil about how eventually you stop being angry but regret lasts forever. So true. And that George might have had one life taken away but he was given another one. All this wisdom said in his usual 'gruff' manner which for some reason meant it was even more effective. Phil the Wiseman, who'd've thought?! Phil and George's friendship is quite realistic of men their age, restrained when it comes to talking about emotions/feelings so all the more powerful when it happens.
Dean you've been stitched up like a kipper! Oh how I hope it sticks. And how brilliant was Linda with that policeman. I'd have believed her myself lol! But somehow I don't think she was lying when she said she was frightened of Dean ...

Johnny said they need to act fast before Dean discovers the meat thermometer, but he already had it in his hand and Stacey saw that. Why didn't she say anything?
