Agree about Dean, I'll never understand bringing an unrepentant rapist back onto the square, not a wise decision IMO. The viewers aren't going to forget what he did and I honestly think you might have more chance of them forgiving a murderer. He's not rehabilitated at all. He's still nasty, sneaky and reckless and I for one am not finding him compelling at all even if Jean is great in their scenes. Jean's not daft but she is vulnerable so I'm quite uncomfortable watching them in scenes together knowing that he's going to find a way of stitching her up for everything he's done. Ugh. Stacey getting pissed wasn't a pretty sight. Her and Jack are now turning on each other so the chances of them getting together could be fading - good. I'm quite liking Penny, she's just the right side of feisty and almost makes Lauren bearable. I'm even warming towards Priya now she's not around Nish. She's too soft with Amira though (still can't stand that brat). Which reminds me, the way Honey went on about a vape! He's 16, thank your lucky stars that that's all he's up to Like mother like daughter. Both horrible characters and they both had their shoes on the sofa. Denzel seems to be having mood swings and this is before he's even started on the steroids. Jean should have taken that pill box straight to the hospital to show that doctor.

That was a very mundane episode tonight.
Has Whitney come back to the Square armed with her mini me to scare Zak off good and proper? I hope he tells her to get back to Milton Keynes pronto so that he can get together with Lauren as that is building up very nicely with all their little chats.
The teens are bringing nothing to the show at all.
Jean has sussed Dean out and now he's blaming her. I hope she reports him to the authorities and I hope that reporter from the Walford Gazette speaks to Johnny.
Ben's been arrested for fraud in the US. I'm intrigued to know what he did and then once we find out he can be extradited out of the show.
I hope the rest of the week is better than tonight's effort.

I did not mind the episode to be fair at least we were spared the Six tonight. I did not mind the normal mundaneness. I am sick of killings, serial killers, kidnaps and outlandish plots in all of our soaps. I am probably a loan voice in the wilderness but I hope Clenshaw takes a bit of a leaf out of Sean O Connor's book and we have a bit of "normal" or even Newman's "Love and Warmth." Too much Callum and Ben for me. Penny is growing on me. The teens are annoying but at least EastEnders have got the language spot on, they are realistic unlike the other soaps like Coronation Street and Emmerdale who are clueless when it comes to teens. I did smile at Linda's reaction when Britney asked for a lager.

I think Zack should just take it that that's the end of his relationship with Whitney. How you could possibly foster a child without checking it out with your partner first blows my mind.
I would go ape if my kid tore their jacket just to get a day off school. It's not like she's being bullied, frankly she's more likely to be doing the bullying! No wonder Avani's like what she is though with a toothless mother like Priya.
Martin and Priya? Hmmm. Think she'd eat him up and spit him out but can't be any worse than Stacey!
Can we take Keanu out of his hole in the ground and throw Dean in instead?
International warrant?! What has Ben done now? Hope it's the people smuggling catching up with him but I doubt it.

So Dean has got Jean doubting herself what a complete and utter bastard he is. Now he's got Jade convinced too.
So what happened in Milton Keynes that Whitney and Britney aren't telling Zak about? I really feel so sorry for Zak as Whitney is manipulating him over his desire to be a dad.
Yolande knows now that Denzel is keeping something from her and she's now keeping something from him. Will she open the package though?
Avani is just a trouble maker and I can't stand her but I did have to smile when Martin thought he'd been invited to a threesome.
So between the treatment for Lola, the hotel bill, drive through food and a business class ticket for the flight back to London Ben had notched up the best part of $30,000 on the card he obviously stole. Would that warrant an extradition order to the States for a bail hearing and who pays for that flight?

Best part of last night's for me was when Martin thought he'd been brought in as the third wheel in a threesome - 'I'm not into groups' And in that outfit Priya looked like she'd been watching too many old 70s pornos and was just waiting for the plumber to turn up Dean is an utter bastard and Jean should have been no where near him, she's too vulnerable. Dean does it so well though, no losing his temper or being stroppy, just sounding like Mr Reasonable who's been trying to protect her. I hate his guts. I've forgotten where Whitney and Zack live because everyone that Britney lives with/has regular contact with would have to be CRB checked, they'd get in touch with Zack personally not leave it to Whitney (unless she told them they'd split up?). But something's off here. And can she put a brush through that kids hair? And PER-LEASE! Don't start having that 'Mitchell' crap coming out of Lexi's mouth. My eyes nearly rolled out of their sockets. So it's nothing to do with the people smuggling then? Just Ben living the life of riley on someone else's money in the states? Fool. Callum really is a triumph of hope over experience. He really believed Ben had done nothing? Ben?!

So the secrets out about Britney. Whitney paid Keeley off and bought her daughter from her, like you do. Mind you for a smack head money for nothing is going to give her the next fix. Will she come looking for her on the Square or will Lauren tell Zack the truth because it's so obvious those two will get together. Whitney deserves to go down for this and get her off our screens. Give the baby to Zack who will bring it up in the way he never was.
Phil doing what Phil always does his way but it all backfired and Ben lost the bail hearing. He's gone down! I actually hope they don't get rid of Callum as I like him. We could see him and Johnny get together. Two professionals would make a change.
Loved Yolande tonight and I don't often say that. How she kept her cool over Denzel was great. She wants a total explanation of his behaviour recently but if I was her I would have opened the package but good for her.
I'm liking Martin and Priya so far. I loved her comment to Martin about comparing him to Ravi, “You just need to lob them out on the table and take out a measuring tape “.

I'm at the point with Whitney now that I won't be bothered if she gets killed off and the baby is left with Zack. Usually I hate the way women characters are expendable to facilitate a bloke being left with the baby but I'll make an exception in this case. Knew there was something dodgy about this fostering. Does she realise that humans are not like dogs, they can't be bought and sold? I'm sure we're supposed to think she is a marvellous humanitarian but I just think she's a prize prat and a selfish one at that. All about her. Hope the mother turns up in the square. New clothes but still no sign of a hairbrush and tries to feed her avocado on toast lol! Like a kid with her background was going to like that. Zack got it. Typical Ben, doesn't think whether Lexi wants to go on the run with him just what he, the almighty Ben Mitchell, wants Shame on Phil for even entertaining the idea. I did like that Kathy and co smelled a rat because Phil never offers to babysit Priya is coming into her own since Nish's disappearance, she's rapidly growing on me and I wouldn't mind her and Martin getting together. She's got quite a good sense of humour and comes out with some good quips like last night's measuring tape Did I pick it up right that contrary to appearances (being gorgeous) she's never had much to do with men either altogether or in a relationship sense? And where's her family? Was she rejected for her lifestyle?

So that's Ben off our screens for God knows how long, good! Why Callum came back to the cell door beggars belief. I quite liked Max Bowden in the role of Ben and thought him better than the last two. He is a decent actor and I wish him well in the future regardless of the reason for his termination.
Avani and Denzel have to be the most hate characters at the moment but not forgetting Whitney who is literally doing my head in. How thick can you be to think that so called saving a child illegally is going to work for all concerned. I really don't like Lauren but she spoke some words of wisdom tonight.

Well they certainly catered to the Ballum fans, they got their final scenes of (IMO) one of the most dysfunctional relationships in soap. They were OK scenes for what they were. I've always liked Max in the role too and think he's been the best Ben so from that angle he'll be a miss but Ben in any form is going to be off our screens for a long time now. We may never see the character again and that might be preferable IMO to coming back with yet another head. But I was really wanting Callum to grow without Ben but now he's just going to be moping about and no doubt having a crisis if he so much as looks at another bloke Yes Lauren has hit 30 and has some common sense at last judging by what she said to Whitney. She was spot on, especially about the possible child-trafficking allegations, and Whitney would do well to listen. She's dug a right hole for herself. It's not going to take that drug-addled mum long to get through 2K so what's the betting she'll be back for more? 2K that should have been going on her own baby of course. If I was Zack I'd be fuming (when he finds out). By the looks of Denzel's quick temper the 'roids are affecting him already. When's his dad back? Does he know that he's just in Yolande's care as Patrick's gone off?

A strange episode to end the week and an odd exit for Ben. I think it is telling Max Bowden not in the show for weeks and then appears this week for a rushed exit. I'm intrigued to know who Max has majorly p****d off at Elstree. Ben will return in 18 months with a new head.
Good scenes with Lauren and Whitney. Thomas Law as Peter is very poor in the role compared to Jac Jossa as Lauren.

I prefer Thomas Law as Peter but they really need to give him something to do instead of being another background character.

Good start to the week, nice to have Sharon back. That was a good twist with Elaine and the thermometer. So there are cracks in Caf floor, I wonder if it is has to do with the vibrations from the underground? A good duff duff

I thought Sharon looked a bit rough tonight. The Oz sunshine certainly never shone on her coupon. It was Easter Sunday on a Monday in Walford tonight. Easter Egg hunting and someone just about rising from the dead. Something tells me this is going to be a good week.

Good ending, the Six Five clearly aren't builders! The floor's collapsed now. Brown stuff about to hit the fan. I didn't think they'd have Keanu being found so soon TBH. It's Nish's cafe, a return for him now? I'm surprised the Five were so calm with Sharon TBH. Thought they'd have torn a strip off her for just disappearing and leaving them all to it. They've been to hell and back. I was also a bit annoyed with her when she didn't try to make Linda feel better by saying 'he was trying to kill me, you saved my life'. I agree about Sharon (or the actress). I remember she lost a lot weight and turned up at some awards do and looked fab, really good and healthy but she seems to have lost loads more since then and it's made her look drained, frail and, I'm sorry to say, older. The hair doesn't help either. I can just imagine Elaine on a tidy up mission coming across the thermometer, thinking 'what the eff?' and putting it back in the drawer shaking her head about her daughter's drink problem. Linda nearly had a fit when she saw it, looked like a lovely bit of lamb too, but at least the dog enjoyed it Roll on this week. I feel for Bernie already. She's been walking about on her brother's grave
