Buster seemed to change his attitude last night. He's actually talked to Mick now and sees an adult unlike Dean who still behaves like a whiny juvenile. He's probably still confused about whether it was rape (he is being influenced by Shirley after all) but I think after last night he respects Mick a lot more, he's seeing a decent man who is resolutely standing by his wife and intends to accept the child regardless of whether it's actually his. I think he gave Buster food for thought re Dean as well though.
I thought their scenes were quite good last night and when Mick went to attack him I'm glad Buster didn't fight back but tried to calm the situation. Got to ask myself if he'd have done that if Shirley was there though? Notice he never told Shirley that he'd ran into and had a conflab with Mick.
Although Shirley gets on my wick credit where credit's due she did her best to keep the turd from the hospital recognising that it was a really bad idea for him to turn up. As per though Dean just does what the hell he wants even if he's got to thieve to achieve it. God I hate him! There's a thread on DS asking if we're supposed to feel sorry for him? Ha! Not me, not in a million years.

Mick was right re. his fantasist comments, and Dean is absolutely trying to be him. Buster, for the most part, has been a background character. Perhaps they could actually put him to use and have HIM get the truth out of Dean?

Did you like episodes when Dean raped Linda and when Linda told the police what Dean did to her and Dean told Shirley his version of events? I don't thin the rape storyline was bad from the beginning. I thought the episode was good, but as Mo Mouse correctly says: I loved it when Dean raped Linda. I would like to add, however, that this was not because he raped Linda. I liked it because the storyline was strong at the beginning. Now it's just terrible. (And when did you get promoted Mo? ) Evening maurice. Nothing to do with me.

Mo is a god? Prove it and strike down Shirley mo I'll try, Sorch, but I'm a kind of pathetic god who can't do anything. I was talking toApollo only the other day and asked him if he fancied going for a pint but he kicked sand in my face and took my Wine Gums.

Perhaps they could actually put him to use and have HIM get the truth out of Dean? Great idea, it would be good viewing but also makes sense. Buster's a total outsider to both Mick and Dean and doesn't feel anywhere near the amount of guilt that Shirley's supposed to regarding either of them therefore he has a clear head and is not being led by his emotions (other than wanting to keep Shirl happy so far). I saw him looking at Mick with new eyes last night and watching more pennies drop with Buster and him trying to make Shirley see it too would be good. Buster would actually be serving a good purpose in this storyline instead of just being there. For starters, have him noticing how easily Dean manipulates Shirley because she's so guilty and him pointing that out to her. Even if she snaps his head off it'll give her food for thought too. She really needs to face up to the fact that just because she feels guilty doesn't mean to say he's innocent, that her feelings have nothing to do with the rape and she needs to start thinking objectively. I really hope TPTB go down this route now you've mentioned it.

Yeah I agree. Perhaps buster will spike his tea with flash! I liked the scene with mick/buster last night. I think b believes mick Yeah I liked Buster for the first time last night. I hope he doesn't revert to cheerleading for Dean! Yeah I think Buster believes Mick. He looked very suspiciously at Dean when he saw him after talking to Mick. I like Buster so want him to be on Mick's side.

Also, why is Dean growing Chewbacca's pubes on his face? That beard is hideous! I dislike beards full stop Me too. Dean's beard is especially muff-like though. Classy I reckon Buster is starting to see the truth about Dean and he may be the only person who can make Shirley to face up to what she already knows deep down.

You did understand a bit of Busters perspective last night. He is right that all Mick has done is call the cops on him and tell at him. True he should have probably listened to both sides of the story, but Shirley has been twisting the knife in. Will be interesting to see if Busters doubts about Dean get explored in more detail soon.
