2001 cast photo:- How nostalgic! Of the 26 characters, 10 are dead and only 3 of them are still on the show.

I love the way its a character photo shoot with Peggy giving evils to Sharon, Gary looking like a muppet and Phil keeping an eye on Steve Owen etc.

1993 was one of the best ever years and due to Aidan and Mandy, who were 2 of the most major characters that year. Such a shame that due to being lead astray by her, Aidan dumped her in Dec 1993 and returned to Ireland for good and 2 weeks later in mid Jan 1994 Mandy decided to leave Walford and the couple were quickly forgotten about and not mentioned until Mandy returned in 2011. I think lots of fans were unhappy that they left when they did. Watching episodes from Feb and March 1994 it did feel a bit lost without Aidan and Mandy who lightened up the show.

If DTC was still at the helm he would have had Aidan Brosnan as coming from Redwater and meeting Kat and Alfie there and is shocked when they say they are from Albert Square, Walford, London, England where Aidan once lived.

Congrats to EastEnders for winning Best Continuing Drama at the TRIC awards and also for the wonderful June Brown winning a Special award. Well deserved.

It would make sense though given what has happened to Michelle and the rest of his family back on the Square.

I so wish Lou Beale had been around when Arthur shagged Christine. As holey once said, Arthur would have got 2 whacks round the head with a frying pan. One from Pauline and an even harder one from Lou.
I still think Pauline killed Arthur, and after the frying pan whack in 1993 a clot slowly formed, and the prison riot head injury in 1996 was a cover up for the frying pan injury lololol.
