Thanks for posting these wallis, made for interesting reading. I like the idea of him coming in, calming it all down (because it got ridiculous under DTC), having some proper characterisation again before it all gets going in the Autumn. I hope for his sake it lives up to his hype though or they'll be crucifying him on other forums and social media! I wish people had more patience. Obviously there's things he's said I disagree with. For a start I don't think Roxy was a spent character by any stretch of the imagination. Ronnie yes, successive producers effectively destroyed her, there was no way she could go back to happy families after the things that she'd done. I don't rate Jac Jossa as much as he does, she's perfectly capable but not a great actress. She is very attractive though so you can see where the 'movie star' comment came from. It's a bit alarming that he says he didn't know what to do with Max - I'd have thought it was obvious! The FANS knew what to do with Max, having him coming back with Ian, Jane, Phil, Jack and his daughters in his cross hairs but not the 'destroy the square' way that SOC's playing it Not that I'm not enjoying it mind, but I have wondered if it means the end of Max, especially when the current EP in charge is saying he didn't know what to do with him. All in all though quite interesting and I for one am kind of glad he chose the Metro paper for his first in depth interview rather than a soap mag or even DS.

I agree, thank you Wallis.

Your welcome Lotty, I thought the few of us who watch EE would be interested. Yes there's some of it I disagree with too. I do think that because the Mitchell sisters arrived together with a bang then they had to go out together in a similar way but I don't think killing them off was necessarily the right thing to do. He must have had his reasons not to just rest them though and we don't know what goes on behind closed doors. I don't really rate Jossa much this time round and it sometimes feels she is phoning her lines in. 'Movie Star', Lol has he seen her piano legs? Meowww! Honestly though motherhood has not played well on her figure and that's not Jac's fault at all but I just think she is mediocre. The well loved character Robbie Jackson? ? He's the EE version of Sam Dingle IMO. I'm glad he recognised Jake Wood's acting abilities as he is definitely the one that the other cast members all rate too. I think he could have chosen his words better as you are right we viewers all knew what had to happen, it was just how it should be done which we didn't know. I wonder if Jake had any input into the storyline?

Elstree, before EastEnders moved in. The site was bought from Central Television by the BBC for a new soap they were thinking of doing and the rest is history.

Poor SOC, dreadful rag, they are all as bad, the Daily Mail pretends to be above all this, but it is as bad if not worse. None of the papers are worth reading now, even my local paper is all sensational pap.

I think if there was any bullying, it was by the cast to SOC. Danny Dire is apparently a nightmare to work with. And Dogger McFadden took an extended break because he refused to work for SOC apparently.

I agree Wallis, also when the sun again printed an article saying the likes of Adam Woodyatt said they could not stand working with Danny Dyer, Adam came forward and said this was complete and utter tosh. From what I have heard from the likes of Linda, Kellie and Luisa, he is a real hoot to work with and some times they get told off for laughing too much. I know sometimes Danny adds extra bits to his scenes and sometimes with his cockney ryhming slang you can tell that is a Dyer line added, but they all get on well, but the Sun would never print that would they. Who wants to read that over their cornflakes.

I'm hoping this is the beginning of a general apology for SoC because it's clear now he had great plans for EE and anyone who thinks he was ruining Easties should just give up watching soaps.
