Hi all, So what movies are you looking forward to arriving in cinemas or watching over the weekend? The Avengers: Age of Ultron is the obvious one. First movie was a fun action romp and actually surprised me how good it was. I'll be watching this on Saturday. Let's hope it doesn't suffer from a case of Sequelitis and end up failing to live up to the first movie. I'll reserve judgement on Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Trailer looks good, but then so did the trailers for the last three movies and we know how they turned out! Also, is it me or does Harrison Ford, in the trailer, look like he's just been dragged straight out of the retirement home and onto the Star Wars set . Han Solo is now officially older than my grandad . Poor guy deserves a holiday! He looks exhausted . Any other movies?

Little Boy opens here in the US this Friday April 24th. It`s about a young lad in the USA during WW2 whose Dad goes off to fight.
Here`s the film trailer for it

Nice. Thanks, Wendy . Looks like a gem of a movie. I like the premise. I never get tired of WW2-era movies. These sorts of low-budget movies tend to get lost amongst the sea of Hollywood blockbusters.

Another movie I want to see of that era is 'Unbroken'. Angelina Jolie directed it. Shame she didn`t win the Oscar for best director. It reminds me of a cross between Tenko, Chariots of Fire, King Rat and Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence. It`s a shame the WW2 hero who the film was based on died just as the movie came out. i`m glad Angelina met him before he died though.

Yes, "Unbroken" is meant to be a good movie from the reviews I've read. Still haven't got around to watching it. Jack O'Connell (I think that's his name) looks the part. Thanks, Scrabs. I guess the sequel was never going to top the first movie. Some of my friends have already seen it too, and they said the same thing to me. The general consensus is a 3/5 rating. Personally, the only character I'm interested in is the Hulk - I just LOVE that scene from the first movie when he nonchalantly punches Thor off the screen . I still laugh at it every time.

Right, so I finally got a chance to watch Avengers: Age of Ultron. Thought it was good, but not great. Just more of the same really. There were some great moments in the movie though. Any scene with The Hulk stomping his way through bad guys always has me excited . I give it a 3/5. I will try to give a more detailed review in the coming days. Batman vs Superman is another one I'm looking forward to. I saw the trailer the other night and it looked good. The two grandadies of the superhero genre facing off - what's not to love, eh? I am growing a bit of weary of superhero movies now, though, as they're all so similar. So let's hope this one offers something different.

As a horror fan, Insidious Chapter 3 and Sinister 2 are both really appealing.
I also have high hopes for Spectre, aka Bond 24.

Oh yes, Maurice, I forgot about Insidious 3! I loved the first two movies. I have a feeling it may not as good, though. Bond 24: Spectre sounds like it's going to be a winner with the return of Bond's most iconic villain - Blofeld and his white cat . Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation looks good too. I loved Ghost Protocol and thought it rejuvenated the franchise after the last two stale movies. I'm not sure they can top Tom Cruise climbing the Burj Khalifa in Dubai! But we'll see. Mad Max: Fury Road is another one I'm looking forward to. Big fan of Tom Hardy after his immense performance as Bane in the last Batman film and in other movies such as Warrior and Inception. Jurassic World is one I'm not sure about. Ever since Steven Spielberg stopped directing the movies, they went downhill. It's a blatant attempt to revive and cash-in on the franchise. I can't help but feel they are flogging a dead horse. That said, I will be watching it as I enjoy watching dinosaurs causing mayhem .

Yes, Rogue Nation and Mad Max both look really good (and if the trailer's anything to go by, the latter really puts the "Mad" into Mad Max!). Tom Hardy is probably one of the most diverse actors of the modern era...but don't quote me on that I'll give Jurassic World a chance, the cast seems up to scratch. Let's hope it has a strong storyline.

Yes, let's hope so. I do like the idea of the dinosaurs getting out into the general population. It was the natural place to go with the story as the whole "Dinosaurs on a island" setting had become tiresome.
I'll watch anything with Tom Hardy, honestly. Even if the movie was crap, I'll still watch it anyway because I enjoy watching his performances.
What other movies are coming out?

There's a Poltergeist remake (I'll give that a chance), Terminator Genisys and I believe there's a film based on Edward Snowden coming out later this year too.
Not fussed about Ant-Man, I can take it or leave it.

Terminator Genisys is coming out in June. I don't know if I'm looking forward to that or not. The first two movies are untouchable but it all started going downhill from the third instalment onwards. They will always hold a nostalgia feeling for me.
Zoolander 2 is coming out sometime next year. One of those movies that are so bad that it's good.

Not fussed about Ant-Man, I can take it or leave it. Lol, oh god, will the remakes never stop? Ah yes, Terminator Genisys (can't they spell Genesis?). I think that's in a similar position to Jurassic Park. The franchise began going downhill once James Cameron moved on. The last two films weren't very good. But unlike Jurassic, I think it has more of a following amongst sci-fi fans, so it will probably be a success at the box office even if the movie ends up being rubbish. I'm not sure what they are trying to with this movie - it's been described as a sequel and a reboot... what does that mean? Apparently they're going to change the Terminator timeline from the first movie. Which sounds like a huge mistake. I will reserve judgement though until I see it. Great to have Arnie back in the franchise though! Ant-Man? Seriously? There's actually a superhero called Ant-Man? The worst name for a superhero lol. First I've heard of him! I will check it out. I doubt I will watch it though
