Hunter and Coulson seem to be having a bit of a bromance towards the end of series 2, I quite like that and hope it carries on into series 3. Everyones love for Skye is a bit bewildering, everyone seems obsessed by her except for May although she does become closer to her in series 3. I'm glad they've shelved plans to give Hunter and Bobbi their own spinoff show, so we can continue to see the blossoming of Hunter and Coulson's bromance . Agree about Skye. Everybody treats her like she's Coulson's daughter or something. What's that about? I do like the development they've done with the character this season though. Giving her Earthquake powers and taking her on a journey through her childhood by meeting her parents and getting to know them. Her old man is a right psycho! Kyle Machlaclan gets everywhere these days! He does sinister very well though. He is returning to Twin Peaks so not sure if that will affect his appearances in series 3. to be fair Coulson does have a paternal thing going on with Simons too, although she does have her own father so maybe that's why it's not as strong as his relationship with Skye.

That was because Simmons had gone all weird, she had a bit of a crush on Trip so when Rayna killed him I think it changed her and Fitz was or ride what she would do when she found out about Skye. I think Trip was only ever supposed to be a minor character so I never really got attached to him. But yes I agree it was a nice touch making his grandfather a HC. True, and Fitz himself has changed drastically since his accident. I liked his friendship with Mac, so I'm a bit irked that they sort of ruined that with the whole "Real SHIELD" thing. I liked it when the lads were chatting about their past girlfriends and Fitz said he had never had one and the only girl he had lived ran away and left him. Their faces were a picture.

Love square surely? The guy who played Lincoln was in Home and Away according to his IMDB page and the guy who played Skye's mum was in neighbours, Thor was also a H&A cast member. Oh and Fitz was Mike Baldwins son in Corrie. Ward and Agent 33 have got a really weird thing going on! Marvel Soapmatic Universe....? Rumour has it Shirley Carter is going to be the main villain of series 3!

Indeed, I fear Ward may be the Max Branning of the MCU...didn't he also sleep with May? I like Bobbi too, but I'm not sure about her and Hunter as a couple, it seems mismatched somehow. True . He did sleep with May. Not to mention that Asgardian warrior chick from Season 1 . Although he was being mind-controlled by her, so you can forgive him for that one . Yes, Bobbi and Hunter do seem a bit mismatched. Not a fan of their constant bickering. But they have grown on me a little bit since the whole Secret SHIELD storyline began playing out. I think they're both good additions. The show needed new characters in Season 2. I'm guessing Hunter is something like the new Ward, sort of on the outside looking in, as he wasn't officially part of Coulson's team until recently and had nothing to do with the other SHIELD. Except he's not evil, that we know of

For me I felt we were introduced to far too many new people at the beginning of series 2, true some died but it did feel a bit overkill. In series 1, the unit was small and so they all interacted with each other. I felt the introductions of three new shield agents at once meant that we didn't get to explore all their relationships in any great depth.

Yeah, that's the only downside of "Dark" Ward. His obsession with Skye is a bit stalker-y and unsettling. Which is strange because before Ward was revealed as a HYDRA agent in Season 1, it was Skye who had a crush on Ward . Now their roles have reversed. Although, after Skye shot Ward in the mid-season finale, he seems to have moved on with Agent 33 (the woman with the nano mask). I think they're going to have a love triangle with Ward, Skye, Agent 33 and Lincoln (the blonde guy with the electricty powers). I hope not, but TV writers can't resist a good love triangle! Agree about Hunter. I really like him and find his wisecracks a breath of fresh air. I like that the core of the cast is made up of British characters such as Fitz and Simmons, and now we have Hunter to add to that. My bad, you're right . It's a love square . In regards to Lincoln, yes I remember him in Home & Away not too long ago. He played a character called "Romeo". He also starred in CW's "The Tomorrow People" which was a similiar sort of show to Agents of SHIELD, but has been cancelled now. Agreed. Ward and Agent 33's relationship is not natural! I'm still freaked out by that scene when Agent 33 changed her appearence to Skye and began kissing Ward . Ward is so f'ed up in the head!

I did feel we needed some smaller episodes earlier in the season, focusing on the new members of the SHIELD team and watching them integrate with the old guard such as Skye and May. We didn't get a chance to bond with the new characters. But I've still enjoyed their presence in the show, and I feel they've added new dynamics to the team. I don't like it when a show starts revolving around two or three characters, and other characters are left by the wayside *cough cough* the CarterEnders *cough cough* . I think that could've happened to this show if they didn't expand the cast and bring in new characters.

If I was Agent 33, I would change my face to Coulson during sex, just to mess with Ward!

I think that was a big of an issue in the first half of series 2, because they were constantly battling Hydra there wasn't as much of a chance for one off episodes, everything had to be part of the big story. I suppose for me I would rather Mac and Hunter in particular got introductions to the crew rather than just appearing.

Can we discuss non-Marvel related shows too? I was hoping to discuss other shows like the X-Files and Lost with you guys . Or are you gonna make a seperate thread for that?
