For all chatter related to Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, Agent Carter and Daredevil plus any future shows that may appear.
I am now fully caught up of AoS and have to say I am really loving it. The dynamics do remind a lot of Buffy. You have the old guy being mentor to the young girl is Giles and Buffy/Coulson and Skye. The two humorous sidekicks ie Willow and Xander/Fitzsimmons. And then the hunky guy who is sometimes bad and sometimes good is Angel/Ward. The show also has a lot of action, cultural references and humorous one liners too.
I have aver only watched the first episodes of both Agent Carter and Dardevil. Agent Carter has just been renewed for a second series, high is surprising as it didn't get much ratings apparently. I will get around to watching more eps of both these shows at some point. Netflix are producing more Marvel related shows too so I gather.

That's true. The dynamics on Agents of SHIELD are reminiscent of Buffy. Grant Ward is my favourite character by a distance. He started off as a very dull straight-laced hero in Season 1. But I think taking him down the anti-hero/villain route has been the making of the character.
Overall, I think Season 2 of the show has been great. Season 1 was a bit hit and miss for me (though the second half with Bill Paxton was very good). I don't know if you've been keeping up with the latest episodes, but it looks like they're building toward the Avengers 2 storyline for the Season 2 finale. Looks exciting.
As for Daredevil, I watched a few episodes of that. It does remind me of Christopher Nolan's Batman films with the realistic tone and action, which is a good thing. It's certainly miles better than Ben Affleck's Daredevil movie, which was a huge flop. What I like about the show is that it's basically a legal drama about a lawyer fighting organised crime, who also happens to be a superhero. It's a pretty cool concept.

I like Grant Ward cos he is hot! I actually prefer him in the first series though because of the interactions he had with the other main characters. We didn't see enough of him in series 2. Yes I am fully caught up (in fact slightly ahead) now. I cannot wait for the series 2 finale although I shall miss it when it goes. I haven't heard whether or not they are making a third, I hope they do. I havr never actually seen the Daredevil movie...

I like Ward, though I do find him chasing after Skye like a lovesick puppy very irritating. Hunter's also high on my list of favourites, along with badass May and of course Coulson.
Haven't seen Daredevil yet, but I have high hopes - it's bound to be better than the film!

Hunter and Coulson seem to be having a bit of a bromance towards the end of series 2, I quite like that and hope it carries on into series 3. Everyones love for Skye is a bit bewildering, everyone seems obsessed by her except for May although she does become closer to her in series 3.

Yes, it was bewildering when Fitz decided to suddenly give her a break and lie about the results of his tests, particularly when he understood the consequences, although that was probably just to spite Simmons. I miss Trip, tbh. He was awesome, and I liked the fact that his grandad was one of the Howling Commandos, directly linking him to the movies.

Yeah, that's the only downside of "Dark" Ward. His obsession with Skye is a bit stalker-y and unsettling. Which is strange because before Ward was revealed as a HYDRA agent in Season 1, it was Skye who had a crush on Ward . Now their roles have reversed. Although, after Skye shot Ward in the mid-season finale, he seems to have moved on with Agent 33 (the woman with the nano mask). I think they're going to have a love triangle with Ward, Skye, Agent 33 and Lincoln (the blonde guy with the electricty powers). I hope not, but TV writers can't resist a good love triangle! Agree about Hunter. I really like him and find his wisecracks a breath of fresh air. I like that the core of the cast is made up of British characters such as Fitz and Simmons, and now we have Hunter to add to that.

Indeed, I fear Ward may be the Max Branning of the MCU...didn't he also sleep with May? I like Bobbi too, but I'm not sure about her and Hunter as a couple, it seems mismatched somehow.

I'm glad they've shelved plans to give Hunter and Bobbi their own spinoff show, so we can continue to see the blossoming of Hunter and Coulson's bromance . Agree about Skye. Everybody treats her like she's Coulson's daughter or something. What's that about? I do like the development they've done with the character this season though. Giving her Earthquake powers and taking her on a journey through her childhood by meeting her parents and getting to know them. Her old man is a right psycho!

Yeah he did, it was a way of trying to ensure she wasn't suspicious that he was a spy for hydra. I cannot make my mind up about Bobbi or Mac. And yes Bobbi and Hunter are mismatched although I guess that's the point as they divorced.

That was because Simmons had gone all weird, she had a bit of a crush on Trip so when Rayna killed him I think it changed her and Fitz was or ride what she would do when she found out about Skye. I think Trip was only ever supposed to be a minor character so I never really got attached to him. But yes I agree it was a nice touch making his grandfather a HC.

The guy who played Lincoln was in Home and Away according to his IMDB page and the guy who played Skye's mum was in neighbours, Thor was also a H&A cast member. Oh and Fitz was Mike Baldwins son in Corrie. Ward and Agent 33 have got a really weird thing going on!

True, and Fitz himself has changed drastically since his accident. I liked his friendship with Mac, so I'm a bit irked that they sort of ruined that with the whole "Real SHIELD" thing.

He did sleep with May. Not to mention that Asgardian warrior chick from Season 1 . Although he was being mind-controlled by her, so you can forgive him for that one . Yes, Bobbi and Hunter do seem a bit mismatched. Not a fan of their constant bickering. But they have grown on me a little bit since the whole Secret SHIELD storyline began playing out. I think they're both good additions. The show needed new characters in Season 2.
