I've noticed there's a few Walking Dead fans on this forum (particularly Lady W and Maurice! ), so I thought it was about time we had a thread to discuss the show - that includes old episodes, past and present characters and storylines. Feel free to talk about the new spin-off show Fear the Walking Dead too. Talk about anything you want! I was hoping to create this thread as a cross between an episode thread, a discussion thread and a spoiler thread (use spoiler tags when necessary), where people can review the latest episodes and also discuss the show in general. Over to you, folks.

Ooooo! Yay! Didn't realise you'd made this, T.K!! (teehee, that rhymes ) I love this show so much; can't wait for S6 to kick off! I watched the second episode of FTWD and I have to admit, it was much better than the pilot.

Ok, I need to vent. I've watched the third episode of FTWD and, my God, these people are just morons!! m1323 I know that people IRL wouldn't immediately know what's going on, but the mum, dad and even the druggie son (who stilll hasn't changed out of that old man's clothes) have seen enough to have a basic idea about the zombies and so, should be acting accordingly. But no: Daddy still thinks they're 'sick' and attempts to get through to them, despite him seeing the zombies' surviving lethal force. Mummy seems to be slowly processing the fact that zombies exist now but, despite battling one, refuses to talk about it with anyone other than Daddy, therefore putting everyone's lives at risk - TELL PEOPLE, FGS!!! The daughter seems to be...just there, with headphones in and the father of this other family who's semi-joined forces with them seems to have Dale's knack of seeing all and knowing all with zero reason to. They're all so bloody emotionless too! Reanimated corpses are lunging at them and they're barely rattled; REACT, DAMN IT!! And if you're trying to lay low and hide out in your house, don't take a couple of flashlights to the window and started shining them all over the street!
*sigh*

I don't know why I'm still wasting my time on Fear... It's just terrible.
Roll on the 12th of October, when the proper WD is back on our screens! It can't come quick enough.

Me and hubby have a monthly subscription to a VPN (www.Tunnelbear.com), and with it we can watch tv online all over the world. Hubby said that if he puts the VPN on the UK side, he can watch British shows streaming on the UK Netflix. I don`t see why it couldn`t work for you too.

Sorry but really pleased to hear this as I was so disappointed that I wasn't able to watch it. It sounded like a great idea as well. Count it as a blessing in disguise The first season's going to be over soon and I wouldn't care if the main family were all killed, they're just so dull, stupid and generally irritating. The whole show, in fact, is a chore to watch! But, I've started and I feel like I simply have to finish

Okay, before I post about the latest episodes of TWD. I just want to comment on FearTWD... the show was a total waste of time and I don't think I'll be bothering with Season 2 as it was badly written and the characters are all annoying (especially the druggie son who needs a good kicking if you ask me).
It was meant to show us the beginnings of the zombie outbreak and how civilization gradually fell apart, but what we got was the opposite. The writers basically jumped the gun and flitted past the issue. Instead they seemed more interested in portraying American soldiers as douchebags. All in all, it was terrible.

Now, in regards to TWD. I think Season 6 has been pretty epic so far, even if some of the plotlines feel a bit familiar. The hordes of zombies attacking Alexandria, at the beginning of the episode, was a great way to start the season off with a bang. I do think Rick's plan to draw the zombies away was a flawed one, and he's once again shown himself to be a bit of a crap leader, who's become very unstable and dictatorial. I think Michonne or Daryl should be made temporary leader until Rick gets his head straight. Also, I'm liking the return of Morgan as a regular cast member of the show. I'm not sure how I feel about his transformation into some sort of karate-fighting zen master like Mr. Miyagi off Karate Kid . It's a bit cheesy. I have to also mention the new villains on the block - The Wolves. Whilst Rick and co were out drawing the zombies away from the town, the Wolves took the opportunity to attack Alexandria.Their savagery and brutality was on full display in their debut episode as they maimed and brutalised every Alexandrian in sight . They're quite a peculiar bunch. Why don't they have guns? I'm interested to learn more about them. And if nobody has watched the previous two episodes, then DO NOT read my next post as it will contain huge SPOILERS...

I have to say, I'm pretty cut up about Glenn's death. I'm not entirely sure if he's really dead, because we didn't actually see him die or get bitten by the zombies (there is some hope for us Glenn fans!). But I am fearing the worst because I can't imagine how he could've survived that horde of zombies given the grave injuries and blood loss he sustained. It would be a bit cheap if he turns out to be still alive, but I don't care. Also, I'm not happy that they're making us wait to find out if Glenn is dead or not. The latest episode shifted the focus to Morgan, so we didn't get the chance to see Glenn's fate . But it could be a clue that Glenn is still alive. Otherwise why make us wait another episode? Although I could be setting myself up for a fall here lol. Anyway, I'm already looking forward to the next installment of the show.

I don't believe Glenn's dead. The angle at which his supposed death was shot was at an angle that made his predicament deliberately ambiguous. The guts that were shown being pulled apart, I assume, were from Nicholas's body. I think Glenn's going to end up crawling/rolling under the dumpster and either there'll be an escape route or something will catch the herd's attention and they'll wander off. I know it'd be a huge SOR for Glenn to manage to escape becoming walker-chow, but I'd accept it because A) It would've been a rather crappy send-off for a character that's been there since the start and B) I love Glenn too much so don't want him to go Aftr previously loving Morgan and longing for him to join up with Rick & Co, I have to say I'm finding Morgan bloody annoying!! His refusal to kill that one Wolf that he's already fought twice, and that's told him he intends to murder everyone in Alexandria, is beyond stupid, even for the NuZenMorgan. The guy's turned into a Tyreese-esq liability and I doubt it'll be long before one of Rick's lot get killed because of his unworkable "All life is precious" schtick. I can easily see Carol ending up killing him since we all know her approach to people who are a 'risk' to the main group...

Yeah, that's a theory I've been hearing a lot in many forums; that Nicholas's dead body was actually being ripped apart on top of Glenn. As you say, it would explain why they chose to shoot Glenn's 'death' with that camera angle, because we were meant to believe Glenn had sustained those grave wounds. I still think it's a bit of a stretch that Glenn wouldn't be eaten along with Nicholas, but I'll accept it as I like the character too much . And yeah, I agree it would be a shitty way for a character like Glenn to bow out of the show. It wasn't a very satisfying death in all honesty. He didn't die saving his friends or saving Alexandria. He died because that idiot Nicholas was panicking, and then to make matters worse he killed himself by shooting his own brains out ("Thank You" - Really?!). Also, the TWD producers do find it hard to kill off the core characters such as Michonne, Daryl, Carol, Maggie (and Glenn of course). So it wouldn't surprise me at all if Glenn managed to survive somehow. I'd say there is a very good chance that he's still alive. I'll laugh if we're wrong though .

I'll be fuming if we're wrong!!! Glenn dies and there's nobody significant around to witness it and be emotionally wrecked?!? It'd be such a bad move! It'd mean even frickin' useless, annoying as hell Beth would've got a better death - and that would be so wrong on so many levels!!
