I can't remember the US show Mark Harmon was in as a teenager but I remember his being featured in some US girl's magazine that we soppy teens of the time bought, (Spec 45 was it?) riding our bikes for miles to the only shop in the area that got it in for us. Mark also played a really scary Ted Bundy in a film. As to Married with Children. I realised the other day that Peggy Bundy is in Sons of Anarchy now, one of those bike shows OH decided he'd better watch to live out his fantasies of riding the open roads, wind in your hair etc......... The thing is with him its necessary to get the bike OUT of the barn, start it up and ride the sodding thing in order to do this n'est pas?? Anyway we tried to watch Sons of Anarchy but it was so terrible we gave up on it seeing as it consisted of Peggy Bundy stomping about being hard, some 85 year old Hell's Angel babystitting the kids and all done in this mumbling tone that meant even with our telly turned up to the max we still couldn't understand it! They may as well have broadcast in Serbo-Croat. We won't be bothering with that one again

Sons was a show I actually enjoyed for about the first 2 seasons, by the time they ended up in Ireland in S3 I was getting bored and S4 I stopped because they'd totally painted themselves into a corner. The premise is clearly Hamlet, Hells Angel but the issue of producing 20 odd eps a season means characters have to constantly be schizophrenic veering from good and likeable to pure evil across 2 or 3 eps, with people forgiving one another for the most ridiculously unforgiveable acts; "Hey man, I'm sorry I like shot your wife", "Hey, dude, don't sweat it bro, brothers for life, right?" smiley-huh

I loved Boardwalk Empire, Breaking Bad, Sons of Anarchy, House of Cards, Mad Men (except for the next to the last season). One of my all-time favorite miniseries......Rome.

I loved Mad Men, and Boardwalk Empire too Donna. Also loved Cagney & Lacey, Homefront, Army Wives, and Any Day Now. I wish Lifetime would show Any Day Now again, but since they cancelled their Lifetime Moves for Women channel, I`ve never seen it come back. What a shame. And when they cancelled ADN, it was right in the middle of an episode. The meanies

Also loved Chicago Hope, St Elsewhere, and ER medical dramas. I have never seen Grey`s Anatomy because when it first started we couldn`t get the ABC channel on DirecTV because of stupid FCC regulations.

Quality choices Donna. I can't wait for House of Cards to come back. I loved Boardwalk Empire, but thought the last season left much to be desired. Too much time spent on a bloke who effectively enabled a paedophile ring, when it would have been better spent on the rise of Lucky, Meyer, and Al Capone.
Breaking Bad and the Sopranos are two of my all time favourite shows.
Has anyone seen Narcos?

I liked Hannibal and was gutted it ended up being axed. Got all three seasons as a Christmas gift, hopefully they get round to a revival in a few years.
Currently I watch Gotham, and am looking forward to the new X Files starting. I am collecting the original series, although I have only just got round to season 2 at the moment.

Anyone watched The Man In The High Castle? I think I prefer the concept of the show a lot more interesting than the show itself. I found I had little interest in any of the characters, they all seemed bland except for perhaps John Smith.

I watched the whole series simply because I was intrigued where they would go with it and I find things like that are generally slow to get started. But it ddint really improve and just dragged on, if anything it got slower!

Anyone remember 'Grace Under Fire' from the 90's with Brett Butler? shown on ABC. It used to be shown on BBC 2 in the UK. Loved this show even more than Roseanne.

And yes it was much better than Roseanne. Strangely enough I liked everyone in Roseanne....except Roseanne herself. Another US comedy I loved was Night Court. Ever seen it HoleyD? Here`s a small clip if you haven`t seen it before. There`s others on YT if you like it

I get to watch Pawn Stars, Baggage Battles, Counting Cars and that other one set in Texas where they buy and flip retro motors - whenever they are on. I don't mind but I have seen ALL the Pawn Stars & Baggage Battles on an endless loop therefore I think I know the Scripts by now, however I think I'd watch Danny on Counting Cars whatever he was on. Worrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Anyone seen the Vanilla Ice Project? Personally I'd like to slap the arrogant little gobshite, in fact we tried to watch it once but the telly was in grave danger of being tossed out into the yard after about ten second of him being a dickhead.
