The repeats are now into January 1992. And it is shortly after Mark announced he has HIV. We are just about 15 or so episodes off Mandy Salter's first episode.
I reckon by the end of 2020, we will be in 1996. The 3rd weekley episode introduction in 1994 will slow down the rate we are going through the eps.
By January 2022, the reruns may be in 2000.

Well into 1992 now and we are seeing Frank and Pat moving from the B&B into Grant’s old flat which had been bought by Wilmott-Brown but he quickly moved on.
Never quite worked out how Frank Pat and all the family managed to live in that tiny flat!!
Not long now until we lose Gill and Pauline goes away (IRL Wendy Richard was very poorly) and Cindy will be making a reappearance.
Nice to see the reality of the recession showing in Walford.

Mo Harris was not the first regular character called Mo. Mo Butcher, Frank's mother. Edna Dore was born in 1921 but in 1990 she looked older than 69. I think Mo was older than the actress though. Mo Butcher is killed off in late 1992 but offscreen.
Mo was seen as a replacement for Lou Beale but never matched up to Lou.

Need to catch up but I think we are in dec 1992, Jan 1993. Mandy Slutter is causing no end of trouble in the square.
Shame how Aidan was only a short lived character, appearing throughout 1993 but only that year.

1993, Pete will be gone by the end of the year, Ian and Cindy will get back together and bring the twins into the world.

Already into mid 1993. Just about 9 months worth of episodes until the 3rd weekly episode slows down the rate in which we go through the episodes.

I noticed the groovy music started the other week.

I noticed the groovy music started the other week. I remember when it first aired and wondered "What the heck have they done to the theme tune". So many people complained about it that just under a yera later, it was wiped for an updated less haunting version of the original.

I’ve stopped keeping up. I lasted until 1992 but ran out of free time.
Currently working through Peak Practice Series 2 and The Bill Series 5.

Peak Practice, the same show that Phil Collinson worked on before he went to Corrie.
DTC worked on Midsomer Murders before going to Walford.

Now into 1995. Soon we will be seeing the very dark side of Phil when he becomes an alkie and knocks Kathy about. This was when he was starting to show signs of present day Phil but that did not really happen until the Thames crash of 1999. I reckon Phil suffered minor brain damage after that crash aka Nick Tilsley/Shona Platt style and it made him nastier.
