Hubby is watching 'Blazing Saddles'. He had forgotten he bought it a few months ago. I doubt that this movie would ever be made today with how PC this world has become.

Rented 'Creep 2' on Amazon Prime. Just as good as the original, looking forward to the third and final installment.
Thor: Ragnarok. Although I am bored with the superhero films, I did get a good laugh out of this one and look forward to it being released on DVD.

Yesterday I watched 'Hitchock'. Anthony Hopkins did an excellent portrayal of Alfred. Helen Mirren was good too as Hitch`s wife Alma. Even though I dislike Scarlett Johansson, she did a very good portrayal of Janet Leigh. I didn`t realise til I watched it that this film is from 2013.

I hate British actors to chose to live in the USA. Hopkins is my number one hate and has been for many a long year! Tax dodging bastards who still want to known as British but don't pay taxes in this country.

I laughed my head off when his recent movie failed miserably. That will teach him to pal around with sex pests like Weinstein.

I`m watching 'Mrs Brown' that I downloaded from iPlayer last week. I must have watched it about 3 times previously, but this time I`m watching it with new eyes as I just finished watching 'Edward VII' last week. If ever there was a role that was meant for Billy Connolly - this is it. He portrayes John Brown brilliantly. I really did LOL when the Queen was trying to get onto her horse, and her foot got caught in the stirrups. And then John Brown said so impatiently "move your foot woman"!! The look on the Queen`s face was priceless. Dunno why, but I have such a fascination with Queen Victoria and her son lately. I`m even reading ebooks about Queen Victoria and Edward VII on my tablet. I really can`t wait to see the new film with Judi Dench in it called 'Victoria and Abdul (I think its called). Yay I`m right, and here is the trailer for it.

I`m watching 'Golden Years' - a DVD I rented from Netflix a few days ago. Such a brilliant cast. It`s about some OAP`s who do some bank robberies to supplement their pensions. As great as the film is with some funny moments, it does highlight superbly how some people view OAP`s, and how they are treated. It`s really quite sad in a way. I highly recommend it. Here`s the trailer for it

As you know my hubby was a huge Hank Williams Jr fan. So I`m re-watching this film I watched about 25 years ago, and loved it then as I`m doing now. While I`m watching it, I have a huge pot of pea and ham soup simmering on the stove coz it`s cowing cold tonight. And I`m waiting for the dryer to finish my flannel sheets so I can put `em on the bed. Grrr roll on spring.
And yay it`s on YT if anyone wants to watch it.

I don`t know why, but I always watch my 'Heart and Souls' DVD on Sunday afternoons. It`s perfect viewing for cold Sunday afternoons. It`s on YT, here`s the trailer for it if you`ve never see it before.
I`m a huge fan of Robert Downey Jr - especially his early stuff in the 90`s. 'Chances Are' was the first film I ever watched in 1990 with RDJ, and I became a fan instantly.

I watched Philomena on iPlayer the other day. It was the first time I watched it, and I enjoyed it. Even Steve Coogan didn`t irritate me like he usually does. He`s a pretty good actor in my opinion. But Judi Dench as always was brilliant.

I watched 'the Rack Pack' earlier in iplayer, and really liked it - even though I don't like snooker. It is mostly about Alex Hurricane Higgins, but a lot of snooker superstars of that era were featured....Steve Davis, Cliff Thornburn, Jimmy White, and Dennis Taylor to name a few. When the got to the year 1979, I was hoping the British Embassy hostage situation with the SAS in London would'be been mentioned too. Then they could've had the famous quote.... " The SAS smokes more embassies than Hurricane Higgins".
