Spot on as per usual Maurice. I love how they moan and bleat about the bitching about Shirley but they have no qualms about being very nasty about Sharon It's so f**king ridiculous Yes, and they're being overly nasty towards other users too. I don't think they see the irony of being nasty to actual people who are making light-hearted jokes about a (very nasty) fictional character! Still, I'm glad at least some DS users who don't have sticks lodged somewhere can see the funny side!

I completely agree. I've also noticed DJ's getting a hard time from hardcore Shirley fans on there. "You've overstepped the mark" - it's called "humour" and I suggest they look it up *rolls eyes* But but but...it's only funny when Mick and Linda are being called vile and repulsive for the zillionth time!

I think it's hilarious when they say Dean is a rapist because of his background yet call Mick vile. totally s*t stirring if you ask me
Also linda was comforting him so no wonder she was raped

That same poster pretty much insinuated that Mick was vile, funnily enough It's really quite tragic when the usual suspects get going. "OMG! Did you see tonight? Nancy offered Mick a crisp and he took two! What a VILE man!" "The way Linda poured that glass of orange juice at breakfast made me physically sick. What a disgusting woman" "Mick and Linda serving behind the bar makes me want to gouge my eyes out with a rusty spoon. Axe them NOW!" Then it descends into a Mick/Linda hating circle jerk until the next thread.

iBrat's logic: if Mick stays calm and level-headed, he's not a "real man". If he defends his family, he's scum. Phil, on the other hand, isn't.

I prefer Itwat I love Mick and I really think Danny plays him well. Danny exudes a likeability in the role imo and was fantastic during Stan's death episode

It's the Sharon -v- Shirley stuff that does my head in. Such a childish attitude from some that if you like one you can't possibly like the other *roll eyes* I hate to say it but I do think that Mona helped start that attitude off when she heard that Sharon was coming back and saw her as a threat to the Phil/Shirl dynamic, start slagging her off, others jumped on the bandwagon and it's an attitude that is hard to shake off even now when Mona's been gone for ages, it's ingrained in DS now! Personally I 'like' Sharon, on the whole she's a decent person and therefore I enjoy watching the character. On the other hand, in the real world, I wouldn't be able to stomach Shirley yet as a character I think she's great. I don't like her in the same way that I do Sharon but most of the time I find Shirley entertaining - even if it's just to shout at her lol! Now what would those DS babies think of that eh? I don't love one and hate the other *shock!*

Love Mr D's Shirley Week thread on DS! DS with their usual lack of humour have moved it into 'Soap Games' *roll eyes* No doubt some po-faced git complained, that's the trouble with a lot of DS nowadays - it can be a humour by-pass zone. Cracking thread though, love it Yes, I noticed that but Stella Week survived onthe main forum for years. I remember laughing at it when I was lurking. What bugs me is quite a few of the po faced posters aren't averse to making any inane thought that pops into their head into a myriad of threads but comedy genius is moved to the Games Room, also known as the back of the sofa.

Yes, and I dont dislike them, but I resent being told I must like them. Same issue I had with the Brannings I find that I am accused of being "easily pleased" if I say I do like the Carters They need to finish this hideous rape storyline off and bring the Carters back to how they were at the beginning. They were a delight the. They also need to split the storylines around because I'm sure Danny and Kellie would like a break the cast is fantastic and the episodes are excellent when there's a good mix That's out of order, I'd be very tempted to tell em to f off!

OMG you're so right, Stella week was just as humorous and has managed to stay on the main page! Oh dear, it looks like some uber Shirley fan(s) have complained *roll eyes* Have they had a sense of humour by pass or something? FGS it's a bit of fun and to be frank it's quite a compliment to Shirley (and Linda Henry's performance) that she's being talked about and not being ignored!

Spot on as per usual Maurice. I love how they moan and bleat about the bitching about Shirley but they have no qualms about being very nasty about Sharon It's so f**king ridiculous Got it in one. There are several posters who are very quick to criticize what they don't like in the show and have a hard on for slagging certain characters off. But they will passively aggressively complain about negativity when their own favourites get a ribbing. There's a couple who are totally humourless and one who is incredibly defensive about Shirley but quite happy to put the boot in about Sharon. I love Shazz but I'm not going to jump on people who don't and I can have a laugh about her.

I reckon he came back as Essex Boy.

I think it's probably the one who gets incredibly defensive about Shirley. It was such a laugh and it was nice to have some fun on the forum again. And it brought TK and Priscilla back. Oh well back to more people saying 'that's shit, no you're shit, dont call me shit you shit.....

iTwat is a hypocrite and a liar who has consistently changed his views to suit each thread he makes. No sympathy for him from me whatsoever. The worst posters of all time were, in no particular order, Salome, Bomani Channing (aka Adrian Gracie), horsey and iMatt.
Saying that, some of these new WUMs seem just as bad.
