Brookside was annoying as hell. He came back recently under another guise and posted in the exact same way ie. making threads asking about the Mods or picking a particular subject and making thread after thread asking (easily Googled) questions about said subject. He was just way too obvious and got banned again. I'm almost convinced that he's back as Mario and Luigi.

I remember Radders if only for calling out everything he perceived to be 'puerile and juvenile'. DS is such a complete sh*t-show these days. AbsoluteRotter was another piece of work, he took a real dislike to me and really hurt my feelings I found Radders unintentionally funny because he was so easy to get a rise out of. I don't know if he was genuinely that prudish or trying it on but he made me laugh with his Victor Meldewisms. When he was nominated for sexiest poster and threw a wobbly was brilliant!

They hate it when they get ignored so their posts get more and more extreme to provoke a reaction.

Just read the Shirley week thread. Hilarious. Well done DJ (and others who made stuff up too) :-)

Love Mr D's Shirley Week thread on DS! DJ is awesome! There's a reason he's the godfather of EE threads! That's not why they call me the Godfather.... Regards, The Don I find that I am accused of being "easily pleased" if I say I do like the Carters They need to finish this hideous rape storyline off and bring the Carters back to how they were at the beginning. They were a delight the. They also need to split the storylines around because I'm sure Danny and Kellie would like a break the cast is fantastic and the episodes are excellent when there's a good mix I completely agree. I've also noticed DJ's getting a hard time from hardcore Shirley fans on there. "You've overstepped the mark" - it's called "humour" and I suggest they look it up *rolls eyes* I'm used of taking no notice of them. Mona also had a few choice words on twitter. If she was still on DS, it would have been at least 10 pages+. Pity it was moved but I won't let it stop me. It was made great by everyone else's contributions. Great to see Tk and Priscilla back. It has restored my faith in the forum.

... by that I mean at the centre of yet another storyline. www.soapsquawk.co.uk/news/eastenders-spoiler-shirley-carters-hunt-for-her-granddaughter.php#resultsJoy! Shirley goes on the hunt looking for the granddaughter she never knew existed! If the granddaughter's got any sense she'll run like the wind in the opposite direction Typical Shirley though going 'marching' in without thinking it through properly or going through the proper channels, probably frighten the kid to death. But yet again a storyline ends up revolving round Shirley - surely this is Shabnam's story? Dean's? I know it says Masood also goes on the hunt but I wouldn't be surprised if he's sidelined so Shirley can be front and centre *roll eyes* Don't get me wrong, I think Shirley is a good character played by a good actress but does she have to figure quite so heavily? Yet she does nothing about her grand child by Carly. Or Carly herself.

Yet she does nothing about her grand child by Carly. Or Carly herself. Exactly. Carly's granddad has died, now I know she might have barely known him but surely someone should have said "I've told Carly" but IIRC Johnny's had a mention but not Carly - yet she's Shirley's daughter who we presume she's still in touch with. I bet there's some people watching who've forgotten that Shirley even has a daughter never mind a Grandson by this daughter - neither who she seems bothered about! Yet she's Dean obsessed and goes flying after his daughter. Be funny if it wasn't so annoying, I'm rolling my eyes though. They should have brought Carly back (didn't have to be permanent) but watching her reaction to Dean being accused of rape would have been interesting as his 'proper' sibling (by that I mean they were brought up together) and siblings generally know one another well, better than the parents at times! Also her reaction to finding out about Mick and seeing Dean finding out who fathered him and seemingly forgetting all about Kevin by calling Buster 'dad' - I bet she wouldn't be too chuffed with that. Not forgetting locking horns with her mother over her lies about the paternity, a proper mother-daughter spat! Missed opportunity IMO.

Buster is similar to Shirl in many respects. They pick their favourite child/grandchild (I'm sure Buster will probably help Shirl kick doors down!) and completely forget about the others. Buster, as with Shirley, has chosen to side with his "favourite" and completely overlook anything Mick has to say. He doesn't even want to look at things from Mick's point of view. Also, lording it over Mick's family, which was once Shirl's favourite pastime, is fast becoming Buster's too!
I can't really comment on whether or not Buster knowingly abandoned his kids, because as far as I know he's been in prison for ages.

Buster didn't know his sons existed. Shirley kept it from him.

Ah...I wasn't paying much attention to EE when he first appeared (Dean was running around getting in everyone's way), I sort of figured he knew about Dean but not Mick.

No he didn't know about either of them until he turned up in Walford. He took the new really well considering.
