Brave move. I might hate it but quite a few people are watching the tedious interminable Meena storyline and have Easties got anything to beat that right now? I think it is all about Grays downfall the week of 7 March when it moves. Yeah, I think it is. Can't wait to see the murdering toad found out. Will they find out about the lovely Kush though who is reincarnated as a posh boy on Holby City. Not that I watch it but have seen the odd scene.

I think Julia will be turning in her grave at that shiny brand new billion pound set. It’s not the EastEnd at all. It’s Cosmopolitan Stratford. No one there is going to be down to their last fiver scrounging off their mates for electric money are they?

Sad to see EE rate so lowly on Thursday 14/07/22 1.3 million.
It is quite amusing reading the comments on Twatter, re the axing of EE, while the ratings are low ( partly this is down to moving it willy nilly to BBC Two due to sport, the very hot weather and the lack of enthusiasm for the show) EE is not going anywhere for the foreseeable, but those ratings make Emmerdale look better.
If I had to guess which soap will go next my money would be on Hollyoaks. EE when the sporting summer is over and back on BBC One will get back to 3.5 million in the overnights I am sure.

We have lost Neighbours but that was due to lack of funding, and no one would pick up the show.

We have lost Neighbours but that was due to lack of funding, and no one would pick up the show. As EE is made by BBC productions and shown on the BBC it is going no where for a quite a while.

www.telegraph.co.uk/business/2022/08/06/bbc-sell-70m-eastenders-studios-bolster-flagging-finances/Should we be worried? The BBC plans to sell the Elstree Centre, once the home (London base) of ATV and Lord Lew Grade and since 1984 the BBC's and home to EastEnders. The BBC plan to sell it and then lease back the lot and studio space used for EastEnders. I know the Beeb are cash strapped. I suppose if the day were to come they were going to cancel EastEnders, a long time down the line, they could see how long their lease was and then pull out? Yet BBC Studioworks has extended the lease at Elstree Studios Next door to EastEnders - the Hertfordshire home of Strictly Come Dancing I suppose TV companies no longer need to own as much property. ITV with The London Studios on the southbank once the home of LWT and more recently the London headquarters of ITV, known as ITV Towers was sold and they now rent part of the redeveloped Television Centre in White City once the home of BBC Televisión.

I'm not worried, it's par for the course as far as I'm concerned. Let's just just get rid of Nadine Dorries, the arse licker to Boris.

Could not agree more, what she knows about the media and particularly public service broadcasting you could write on the back of a 2nd class stamp and still have room.

I am sure EastEnders is safe. Why axe another iconic soap?
