I just sent 'Taking Chance' and 'The Invisible Woman' DVDs back to Netflix
The next two DVDs I`ll be getting tomorrow is 'Mr Turner' and 'The Railway Man' Can`t wait to watch 'Mr Turner'. I`ve been a huge fan of both Timothy Spall and Mike Leigh for many years.

I had a day off work yesterday so I watched The Usual Suspects on You Tube for about the 20th time. One of my all time fave films. The line up scene is sheer unadulterated quality.

Scrabsy...I stayed up late to watch 'Mr Turner' last night. Timothy Spall was superb. At 2 and a half hours long, a lot was packed into it. The movie may not be everyone's cup of tea, but if you`re a fan of both Timothy and Mile Leigh, then you will enjoy the movie for both the acting and the writing. If I had one quibble with it - I had to have the subtitles on as I found the accents and dialects difficult to understand. You`ll see what I mean when you watch it for yourself.

Youre very welcome Scrabsy As I do with every DVD I rent/buy...I always go to IMDB and have a look at what other people have to say about a particular film. There was this one post from someone at IMDB who asked why Mr Turner grunted a lot during the film. I didn`t read the replies, so I don`t know if that poster had ever watched any other Mike Leigh films. Mike Leigh captures the human psyche perfectly and makes them so real...grunts an` all. That`s what makes him an excellent writer because the realism isn`t whitewashed over. If you know what I mean?

Watched "The Other Woman" earlier on Sky Movies, with Cameron Diaz, Leslie Mann, Kate Upton and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (aka Jaime Lannister in GOT). Was a bit silly but pretty funny, and both Cameron and Nik were gorgeous!

I`ve always liked Cameron Diaz. Loved her in 'The Holiday' with Kate Winslet.

I watched 'The Railway Man' this afternoon. I did`t realise Colin Firth was in it.....he was absolutely brilliant. The movie was very brutal in parts at the Japanese work camps, but the acting was superb. Even Nicole Kidman was good. Scrabbs ...I highly recommend it.

Now that I sent my 2 DVDs back this afternoon, I still haven`t chosen which films to move to the top of my queue. I had forgotten that Monday is a holiday here (Memorial Day), so Netflix probably won`t get my DVDs til Tuesday.
