Dawn was bearable towards the end of the show because she barely did anything. S7's main focus was on Buffy, Spike and those bloody Potentials. It felt to me like the other Scoobies were bit players for a lot of it.

Buffy was at its best when the Scooby Gang consisted of Buffy, Willow, Xander and Giles (and/or Cordy, Oz and Tara). I liked Faith, too, but preferred her with The Mayor.

I liked Spike's slow integration into the Scooby Gang as well, although S7's Soulful Spike stuff got a bit too maudlin for me. I think I love him most in S5 and the pre-Spuffy parts of S6.

Wow a season 4 fan! I've heard very few say they liked season 4 much, it usually ranks low on a 'rate the seasons' poll. I personally quite like it (and would certainly rate it higher than season 7), the only ep I'm not fond of is Where The Wild Things Are because I really really didn't like Captain Cardboard. lol I know people seem to not be fond of that season but I like it better then Season 6 & 7, It had a few dud episode but also has some good ones imo, here another shocker I liked Dawn as well There is some really, really good stuff in season 4, Pangs, Fear Itself, Something Blue, Yoko factor, Restless and of course Hush. It is just that it has some really iffy stuff too (Been Bad, Where the Wild Things Are), a weak Big Bad and many didn't warm to Riley. I didn't ind Dawn either for the mmost part although the whining did get really unbearable mid season 6 time.

I wasn't sure on Dawn, she could be highly irritating, screaming get out get out get out GET OUT! really got on my wick, but at other times she was quite likeable and funny (exept when she kicked Buffy out of her own house). Riley on the other hand, was like thrush - an irritating c*nt. He drove me crazy with his stupid insecurities, constant issue with Buffy being stronger than him, running off to get suck jobs off vampires because Buffy was too busy with her ill mother to pay him any attention, the big girls blouse. And even more than any of those, the fangirl in me despised him for being a cockblocking knob who stopped Spuffy relations happening in season 5 m1323 . I. Bloody. Hate. Riley. F**king. Finn m1323 . But one man's meat is another man's poison as they say, I love season 5's Buffy vs Dracula, it's one of my fave episodes whereas I've not seen many that like it or rate it very highly. I liked how Dracula was depicted in it, certainly not like how he is in other adaptions, no wonder Buffy fell under his thrall! redface4 I also really love that he owes Spike £11 for some reason, think it's the casual way Spike said a master vampire , the most well known one in history owes him a few quid, as if it was his neighbour or work mate down the pub! Such a pity that Drac didn't deal with Captain Cardboard though and fed him to his Dracubabes. A real pity that was.

I watched The Pack last night, how bad was the hyena with the glowing eyes! Really bad effects there.

Oh The Pack is fantastic! You just have to ignore the Hyena. I love Xander and his cronies and that pig is uber cute.

I didn't like Riley either but I'm actually going to come to his defence a little bit - only a little though! I can't really blame him for feeling insecure in S5 because Buffy did take it for granted that he'd always be there so she could pick him up/drop him whenever she wanted. Spike's shiz-stirring adds fuel to the fire; I imagine the fact that he knew about Buffy being at the hospital with Joyce before Riley would've really stung so I can understand why Riley's insecurities skyrocket. I can't really blame him for being put out when Buffy won't turn to him for emotional help or whatever because that's really what's included in the whole boyfriend role. Then again, it becomes increasingly clear in S5 that Buffy's just not that into him and Xander spells out the issues with the relationship in Into The Woods. Speaking objectively, Riley is a nice guy but him and Buffy were a mismatch because they both had entirey different expectations of their relationship but neither of them really communicated with each other about their issues, instead they both just did their own thing, and that's why he ended up helicoptering off. I don't think Buffy treated him particularly well but I was annoyed at his petulant antics in response to her behaviour.

My favourite buffy episode is once more with feeling. It's just superb Aside from buff, my favourites are Giles and Anya. Angel was brilliant too. Although I did not like how cordy left. She deserved better.

I honestly can't pick a favourite episode. It's much easier to list the ones I hate Once More With Phelan Feeling ( ) is obviously up there as one of the best of the entire series. Others I'd include would be Passion, Becoming Pt2, Hush, Fool For Love, The Body, The Gift...If I really sat and thought about it there'd probably be more but these are always the ones that spring to my mind immediately.

Surprise/Innocence were the episodes where Bangel finally did it and then Angelus came back. Passion was the one where Angelus killed Miss Calendar and then laid her out on the bed for Giles to find (I have to say, David Boreanaz played Angelus brilliantly! Such a contrast to brooding Angel).

Ms calender was fascinating. Poor Giles David B was fantastic as angel despite a very questionable irish accent. I love him in bones too.

It is pretty cringeworthy when he's in his Liam persona As bad accents go though, I think Kendra takes the crown!! To this day I still don't know WTH it's supposed to be smiley-huh My heart breaks for Giles every single time. The whole set up of the romantic night in with the champagne and rose petals; the opera music perfectly timed for Giles to find her on the bed...argh! Angelus is such a sadistic bastard!
