Yes I do. I remember the later ones from original transmission and then Granada Plus used to repeat them in double bills on Sunday evenings about 15 years ago, quite soon after i bought my house and was living on my own. I used to love Sundays then, Hollyoaks, EE, Family affairs, Classic Corrie (mid 80s) repeats and then Tales. Just perfect background tele for doing the housework and vegging with nobody to interrupt me or have a go at watching Soap after Soap omnibuses.

That`s the thing with films based on the sitcoms Mia....they`re never as good as the hype. Some feature length films of the sitcoms were pretty dismal too.... Are You Being Served, On The Buses, and Love Thy Neighbour to name a few. Out of the three I mentioned, Holiday On The Buses wasn`t too bad.

Oh yeah.... Steptoe and Son Rides Again was abysmal too. But the Til Death Us Do Part film was pretty decent. I laughed a few times in that.

Actually you've hit on my favourite comedy film, Holiday on the Buses. I like it because it shows the early 70s holiday very well and that was a very happy time for me. I agree some of the others were pretty bad!

Mia...I have Holiday On The Buses on DVD. I agree with everything you said about the 70`s nostalgia. I never liked Blakey as a kid though coz he reminded me of Hitler. To an 8 year old, he was really scary.

For some reason I didn't watch Where the Heart is first time around but I should have done. Its well scripted, realistic and well produced. Also Kelly Wenham is in it and she's beautiful My mother recently got a proper SMART TV (mines only got Iplayer) with all the on demand players available so you can sit there for hours on end watching quality TV from the 80s and 90s and think 'wow wasn't it so much better' Some of my faves: Fresh and French Fields Next of Kin Where the Heart is Down to Earth Wild at Heart The Royal Minder The Professionals

Did anyone used to watch The Upper Hand? I liked that show.
Kellie Bright was in it as well as Honor Blackman and Joe McGann - so a pretty good cast really.

Is there a way we could merge this thread with Vintage Tele as they both seem to fit the same bill?

I sometimes watch Tales of the Unexpected now when they're on. Watched them the first time round and I have a book of the stories. I have to say though that the TV shows look dreadfully dated now!

I always remember the one where the woman bashed someone with a frozen leg of lamb and killed them then made a roast dinner with it !
